Hi winningpost.. thanks for passing through my diary. Just been reading your last few posts. I don't take no notice when fools appear on the forum.. which they always will from time to time. My guess with the topic i think you are referring to, is that it was kids on there easter hols having what for them was a laugh.. take no notice.. the topic will be on page 2 in no time if the mods don't evict it first. have a good weekend.. keep up the good work on the not gambling.. S.A

Hey wp just a quick post on your diary to say thanks for the consistent encouragement you have given me. I'm delighted you have remained gambled free and its clear from other posts that you are an inspiration to a lot of people here including myself. Keep up the good fight!

thanks ade chipper for your posts. . Yesterday was the scottish national and i was really pleased for the winning connections. . From my point t point days andrew parker was a useful jockey and took over from his father when he sadly died. . The owner mr anderson green is always a great supporter of the scottish circuit as well. . Both are gentlemen who would take time out to talk to you and give honest opinions on the race ahead. . My point here is it used to be nice to be acknowledged at the races. . Some owners/ trainers have there heads up there a r s e s and dont give 2 hoots about the general public. . I have spent today at my parents in scotland and tomorrow weather permitting will be back in the garden back in newcastle to tidy one or 2 things up. . Things are good just now with the ex and i canny complain. . As each day passes hopefully i am proving that i am well clear of this horrible disease but i am aware that the demons can strike at anytime. . This weekend i have not bet tomorrow i wont bet. . We can do this folks. .

Good to hear things are okay with your ex wp, my dad's a northener and usually if he says something's alright it means that it's good, hope the same applies to you!

Hope that the weather up in Scotland has been as fine as it's been in Wales the past few days, I've been spending most of my time sleeping and sneezing with manflu, but it has been very nice looking out of the window. As a single bloke too, I've also been able to get lots of washing done and dried outside, so I've seen the bottom of the laundry bag for the first time since October!

One day at a time, you've got the right idea.

Ryan

PS When u getting a lappy instead of a moby? Makes posting easier. You can get some real cheapie refurbs now...you deserve a reward for the hard work you have put into your recovery.

Hi wp,

Just catching up on a few diaries. I enjoyed your last post. It's clear to me that you used to be a real racing enthusiast. It's a shame that it is a sport that has been tainted for so many of us by our compulsion to gamble. Great to see the likes of yourself, Jeff and Stumper still being able to take an interest in the outcome of races without succumbing to your old ways.

Keep up the good work wp.

thanks for your continued support. . Ive been busy in garden last few days. . Basically smashing up a concrete path and lifting paving stones. (heavy and tiring may i add). . . The reason behind this is she wants a trampline and swing etc space made for play area as well as separate space for dogs. . Glad t be back to work for a break lol. . Anyways today i wont bet tomorrow i wont bet we can do this folks 🙂

Gambling=swings and roundabouts

Gardening=swings and trampolines

Both can make you dizzy The second one can make you bounce

But the first one makes your cheques bounce.
