Difficult time last night..my 2 year old said to her mam "is daddy away home now".... I had real lump in my throat at that. ...to anyone reading this and still in denial and especially with a family I woul seriously consider abstaining as its d**n heartbreaking 🙁

I've had no real urges to gamble but do feel deflated at times in thinking this is one long fight...discussed this with my councillor And we agreed its like a sudden loss (like a loved one) in that it takes a helluva time to get over it...I hope that made sense....

Today when I finish I'm dusting the old football boots down c

for our annual staff match v Birmingham.. i started this 7 year ago after a 5s tournament in Birmingham...it was supposed to be annually at alternate venues but the brum lads enjoy the Newcastle social side more that its played up here every year...they have s far bigger depot than us but the score currently stands at Newcastle 4 wins Birmingham 2 wins...should be an enjoyable day but god know s how long theold legs Will last lol....

Today I won't bet tomorrow I won't bet we can do this folks...have a great weekend 🙂

Certain things seem to hit home mate and yesterday was obviously one of those times when you think-how could I have gambled like I did and how could I not see what the future would bring.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but unfortunately what is done is done and despite how sad some things may be we cannot turn back the clock. Onwards and upwards.

Football--there is no fool like an old fool mate. Which hospital have you reserved a bed in? I managed to play cricket on Thursday and my legs are like planks of wood now--supposed to be playing in a 50 over game today but weather forcast may save me from further agony!!

Have a great time at the footie mate--think you are a candidate fr minister of ssport in my government-come the revolution.

All the best

Hi winningpost

How are you?

Thanks for posting on my diary. Lass! would I be right in thinking you're from up north somewhere? I'm originally from Huddersfield, but now live in Suffolk. Feeling a little better, I'll feel even better when i've paid off my debt, and hopefully this feeling will be enough to stop me from gambling again, only another seven or eight months to go!!!!

Stay strong

Best wishes

Celia

Hope you are still with us after your game at the weekend mate. I suppose you are too stiff to get that phone of yours working.

Hi Winningpost

Good to hear from you. So pleased you have such a positive attitude towards the future, and are not gambling. Well done.

From something bad comes something good, and we have to make mistakes to learn from them, some bigger than others!!! LOL! 🙂

Stay positive.

Best Wishes

Celia (lassie!)
