Hi winningpost.

Just offering my support to you ahead of your payday. You have done brilliant so far and i know you will keep it up.

Remember you have chosen to give up gambling and you can still make that choice even with a few quid in your pocket. Plus by making that choice you then keep a few quid in your pocket. Simples!

Stay strong pal.

Hi winningpost

The only advice I can give you and will deffo help if you get the urge, firstly, self exclude from all bookies/casinos/arcades from your area, secondly, only have the amount of money you need, keep cash cards at home. Good luck you have come this far don't throw it all away. If you gamble you lose either way. If you lose, you feel miserable, chase etc. If you win, the next time you play again and again until you lose. DEBT gets bigger, you feel lousy and worst of all, you have to start the diary from day 1. The excuse you will probably use (BECAUSE I HAVE USED IT) "I got bored and thought a couple of quid won't harm". Believe me the last time I used that excuse the FOBT kindly relieved me off £2300 in 2 hours. Which was rather nice off them has that £2300 was only burning a hole in my pocket, and besides 'IT WAS FUN, I BOUGHT ENTERTAINMENT'. Winningpost you are solely responsible for gambling or not gambling, no one else JUST YOU. Come on buddy I know you can do it, you know you can do it, you know you want to do it.

hello mate keep that guard up today , i know just how you are feeling money is gonna be tight paying of previous losses etc , but another loss is gonna keep that vicious circle going. Today is a HUGE step in breaking the chain and a time when times will noticeably start looking better for the first time even if only in a small way. best wishes mate . john.

Hi Winningpost,

Getting through payday without a bet..."good job". Although I haven't gambled for a long time now I remember payday was a big trigger fo me to gamble. In the beginning I had to withdraw the lot so there was no cash available to gamble with. TIME+MONEY=GAMBLING. So..you have done really well wp.

Thanks for posting on my diary too...it's so good to get support whilst recovering from this addiction....and remember...the only way to double our money is to fold it! lol...just a little joke to for you.

Bye for now...Jas x

Well done on the pay day battle wp. Hope you stay in a strong frame of mind. Saturdays are so difficult. Sometimes I find myself just wandering around the house in my dressing gown the whole day because I can't think what to do without racing! Still the pieces will fall into place for us all eventually!
