Day 2

Glad to be back. Need to get some control back in my life. It's gonna be really hard for a few months. But it was only getting worse gambling. Stopping is the only way to move forward. Good luck to you too x

Day 7

Been searching my sites to see what I can deposit on luckily nearly everything past deposit limit. Have found one which I can deposit £20 on. What to do. Spend it and see if I can win or take a time out! Came on here. Didn't even realise I'm on day 7. I know I have felt calmer and relieved since stopping again. To blow that for a little hit. Is it really worth it. No. Will I resist. I hope so. I know if I don't self exclude I will deposit later.

Day 8

Didn't gamble although very tempted. Retail therapy instead seemed to work. Just worked out current debt but shocked to be honest £13294.90! As I only earn £6000 a year now. That is massive. Don't know if I can complete aim of debt free in 5 years at this rate. Although each day gamble free I'm getting closer

Hi... I owe thousands and am currently unemployed. I think the main thing is to make sure you have a bank account with a bank you have no debt with... so they cant just take all your money and leave you destitute. Your creditors can't take what you don't have. You get a payment plan set up... few quid a month... thats it job done!

Rememeber that the only "real" reason that your tempted to gamble now is to escape the consequences of previous gambling... for a while...same as me. There is no realistic prospect of being able to gamble to pay off your debt... it ain't gonna happen... and even if you did have a big win, you'd probably keep going... Just a bit more!.. just a bit more!!... Just a bit more action!!! ... Just a bit more escapism!!!... just a bit more fun!!!! ...... except its not is it.... just more misery and despair.

Am not lecturing.... am just kind of talking to myself really... Your post triggered me to write. I get where your at... sitting there looking at figures thinking.... "how on earth did this ever happen???"

For me am just starting to get myself back into good headspace. All I can do is carry on living life on lifes terms and enjoying it where i can. When we walk around with debt, guilt and shame in our backpacks it drags us down. We are better than that. You are ok so am I... Life goes on

Take care... S.A 🙂

P.s Ive just noticed that we are both 8 days gamble free... Lets walk side by side into our gamble free future! 🙂

Day 10

Great post thank you. It's like you read my mind. I am not alone after all 🙂 proud to say still gamble free. Payday today and have to pay most of it out would have usually gambled a lot away. Bought myself and my sister a spa day on wowcher £39 for both of us. Feel bad in a way as I can't afford it and yet I would have gambled that in less than an hour. It's my treat. Racking up the days and feeling positive xxxx

Hi wants,

Just read your story from the beginning of the diary ! You can make it to 300's again , you're a very strong person for trying to pick yourself up with all the challenges you've been through. Stay GF
