500 days is just brilliant. It's great to see you flying along and to see you at ease with it all. Your reaping the gamble free benefits and really flipped your life around. You've done all the hard work - daily posting, GA etc and that strength and dedication has got you to where you are now. You should be very proud and very happy with yourself. It's crazy to think one day at a time and now you type day 500+. The time has really flown and not only have you turned yourself around you've helped countless others on here aswell weather it be with posts of support and encouragement or with your threads and challenges. I may still be struggling and slipping from time to time but I know it would of been a whole lot worse if it wasn't for your support and those threads you ran. So a big thank you and a massive well done. Have a great weekend.

Good Morning Diary,

Day 525 - All is still well since my last update diary update. Now a year older and officially in my thirties :(. Much like last summer I have worked really hard this year to get fit. Now I feel fitter than I did last year I want to ensure it doesn't all go to ruin over the winter. Trying to put a few things in place to help my fragile mind during the darker days.

Before all that though I go on holiday this week. 9 days all inclusive sounds just about perfect really.

Most importantly of all I have had no gambling urges. Long may that continue!

Day 525 - Holiday mode!

Morning Flagg. Hope your having a great Holiday. You deserve it. Can't believe the threads coming to an end next week, day 90 falls on next Saturday so gonna make it a Saturday check in for the final one. Look forward to seeing you at the finish line and I have to wish you well done on your continued success, your efforts still inspire me and keep me going. I may have slipped a few times but without your support over the last year or so I know I wouldn't have made it this far, so thank you.

Hello Diary,

Day 548 - Seems like a very long time since I updated the diary. Checking in with the threads and keeping my 'eye in' so to speak has been my approach for a while now. Early on people spoke of stepping away eventually and I wasn't sure if that was the correct approach. However, now I understand it's about being aware rather than scared of the addiction.

I discovered I am obsessive and gambling was my obsession, once I stopped, recovery became my obsession and whilst that is a much healthier obsession it is still an obsession and I needed to cut that out.

I know appear to have found a happy medium by hovering around the forum and just having that reminder of my previous misdemeanour's.

Having just returned from a wonderful holiday I realise this is something I want more of and I know by maintaining the bet free life it is more than possible.

Today is 18 months without staking a single penny on anything. Here is to the next 18, by then I will be debt free, motivation to continue moving forward indeed!

Day 548 - 18 months!
