DAY 36 done and dusted.

Hi Steve, I used to fish the odd match when I was younger, haven't got any light gear anymore though, all carp gear but I agree, bloody exciting aren't they, pleased you had a good time, that common could have been yours, it's all luck of the draw and preparation at the end of the day but you caught some nice eels. Where did you come do you know, are you going to enter anymore? I am located in East Sussex, going to fish Hawkhurst farm fishery for three nights on the bank holiday week, you might have heard of it?

Today I have had another productive day at work but feel like I am expected to do everything all of the time. Never mind, I feel better for giving my 100% even though others don't

No urges what so ever, not wanting or thinking about gambling, so know I am comfortable at the moment, no stresses or worry you see, my life has completely turned around, so there is no need to gamble if I am happy.

Having a nice cold beer to relax and pat myself on the back, pleased it is the weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well, the feeling is there is a lot of us now on this site, who seem to have got control and I think its because we're all so supportive of each other, keep it up everyone.

Wilsy

Just wanted to say well done, and if I hadn't had a few last night, I would certainly join you in a celebratory cold beer.

We are at similar points you and I, and I think you have nailed it on the head when you say you feel happy and so there's no need.... After 4/5 weeks, and actually managing to keep my wages in my pocket, there is a realisation... there is the opportunity for a better life...and " oh yes I remember this feeling... being normal!"

Stay strong Wilsy.... stay on guard.... and stay happy.

Jon

Hi Wilsy, I came fourth, which was just out of the money. I've not heard of that fishery, I'll look it up on the Internet sometime. East Sussex is gorgeous, lots and lots of happy memories there. Lived and worked in Brighton in the late eighties, early nineties as a youngster. Used to love cycling across the 'Downs' and raving down 'The Zap' club. Played for a few football teams but never went fishing there, anyway enough of my whimsical nostalgia. Enjoy your weekend, keep strong, Steve

Hi Wilsy, back in Liverpool now. There were about 25 in the comp. Ahh Gooch, I distinctly remember being drunk in Brighton, ordering a vindaloo when he scored a really high score against India, think it was 333, not sure though, as I said, I was bevvied. Brighton does that to you, too much sunshine, sea air and fun. Steve

Hi Wilsy, thanks for your lovely post, pleased to see I am someones number 1 lol. Yes I agree that we seem to be getting our gambling under control. I am on my 3rd day off and have spent it in the garden trying to sort it out, normally I really dislike gardening but have really enjoyed it, theraputic maybe. I feel alot more relaxed and contented. One of my sons popped in and said they were having a BBQ tonight so going to go there and have a few glasses of home made wine and some good food. Hope your weekend is going well and that you are enjoying the sunshine, its about time that we had some! We are doing good, keep strong.

Hi wilsy

Couldn't agree more bout many of us been in good positions now and supporting is the key but the best thing is that we don't forget where we were not long ago and still find the time to support that person who is asking for help like the time we were

That's what's amazing bout this site I think we both know we would be lost with out it

Take care

DAY 37 completed, I haven't gambled today.

Thanks Juliette and Castle for your posts, we are in great shape but must always remember that we have a long way to go and mustn't forget those that need our support, all together we can group together and abstain from gambling.

I've done nothing today, too hot for me, watched one game of football and am now watching England, which I am sure will send me to sleep, before half time.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hi Wilsy

glad to see you well, if a little too hot at the moment.

Appertaining to your comments regarding support: I started a thread a couple of weeks ago on "Overcoming"... my idea was a thread where if you found someone who was in need of support.. I know we all are... but somebody that really could do with support from a few of us... we could us that thread to post their name on... like a check in point to see if there is anyone in a desperate situation.

I notice sometimes, due to the timing of their posts... some people slip through.. not many I might add... Some post in other areas.. areas we don't always visit.

I see people tending to post on each others threads as "friendships" develop...

just a thought... simple to do aswell.

Any thoughts?

Jon ( by the way.. always wanted to start a sentence with "appertaining to"... sorry :O)

Morning,

Looks like its going to be a great day for fishing.

Should you manage to get out and about, I will be waiting ready to pour that glass of wine.

Anything to get you away from Jeremy , oh do not think it is on on Sundays, but I guess you would know more about his program scheduling than me.

Great to here things are going well with you at the moment, and that the counciling is really helping.

Can not be long now till you pass the what was it 45 days.

So here's to infinity and beyond.

Take Care,

Dusty xxxxxxx

DAY 39 Completed, no bet today.

Not feeling very well today, woke up with a rotten headache. Thanks for your post Duncan and Juliette, I am proud of myself, with four days until pay day, I still have £512.00 left from my wages, so that's more than I had this time last month, which was -£100 and I've gone out and bought the necessities.

Day 40 tomorrow Juliette :-), no urges this end, this keep doing it x

Well young man,

Firstly can you lend me a tenner lol

Secondly 40 days go Andy , go Andy. waving my pom Poms as I post . Not an easy thing to do , you really must try it some time.

Be proud my honey , think it is 6 days until you pass that milestone , you have been aiming for.

Avidly waiting for that one, may have got the pom poms out a tad early , but wanted a practice run , give me an A.
