40 DAYS BET FREE

Thank you Blondie it is a good feeling and I've made it to my second pay day, they've paid me two days early, so even better. Going to transfer it over to my parents until I have a savings account set up.

Hi Dusty, thanks also for your kind words, I'm going to blow my trumpet in celebration, once I reach 46 days and you can do your pom pom thing again 🙂

No urges what so ever, which is good but tired with work and can't wait until Friday, I've got the whole of next week off.

WELL DONE TO US WE MADE IT TO 40 DAYS! Didn't think I would make it this far, but with the support of this site I have, and you too. Hope that you are feeling better now, and its really good news to see how the bank balance is on the up, very well done.

41 days completed today

Thanks Juliette, I know 41 days now for us and you are a rock to me, as well as this site is.

Tomso, thanks for your post as well, I am seeing the benefits as clear as can be already, so, so happy.

I called my tax office today, as I have moved jobs over the last five years and addresses and I always wondered if I had been sent out a tax refund. I found out a cheque was sent out last Christmas, I never received it, so have had to write a letter to them today, to cancel and re-issue me a new one, to my new address. I don't want to know how much it is for, it could be £40.00, it could be more, the last one I received was over seven years ago, for around £700, so fingers crossed.

Work is busy and tiring at the moment. I am on deadline and need a grand in 2 days, before I have the week off next week. Really want to do it, need the commission money, would like some new shoes and clothes without touching my basic. Fingers crossed also.

No gambling urges at all, all quiet on that front which is brilliant

Wilsy,

Shame on me I stole a hard earned day from you. Congrats on 41 not 40 days free from gambling.

Well done. Keep up the good work.

Tomso.

Hi Wilsy,

Great to read the posts are still really positive and the end still reads gamble free!! I have noticed a very massive change in your posts and you just keep reminding yourself how well you are doing at the moment! Fingers crossed with the tax I'm at the other end currently paying a little bit back due to underpaying 2 years ago! There was a time not so long ago where I would have cracked up having a bit less money each month but not having a bet each day means the finances are under control and the tax man can take his bit extra without making me angry!

I hope the next 40 days are equally if not more successful for you, the path you are taking is now the right one mate!

Flagg

DAY 42 COMPLETED

Thanks Tomso, Flagg and Juilette.

Missed day really, been so busy with work, got the week off next week and am on deadline very stressful and worked right through to 6pm, the problem with that was, I went down stairs and mum said, 'Aren't you going out tonight', I sarcastically replied 'does it look like it', wearing just shorts and a t-shirt, mum then added, 'don't you have counselling', it was then 6.06pm and I replied, 's**t!!!!!', before you knew it my shorts were down, pulling on my jeans whilst on the phone to the office number, no answer, so jumped in the car, got stuck in traffic, got on the phone again, no answer and no mobile for the lady I see, carried on proceeding to Eastbourne in case she was waiting, got there with 20 mins left and the door was locked and no sign of her. P**P!!! I was knackered and gutted I had completely forgotten because of work. At least I tried to call and got there but I guess she was pleased for an early night 🙂

Anyway that was my day, great wasn't it!! lol

Hey Wilsy, sorry you had a sh** day as well as me! But at least you have not gambled, and you did go to the meeting even if you were late, that is a point in your court for that. Hope that you enjoy your days off, never let your guard drop cause those demons are there waiting to pounce. Take care, have a good weekend

Good for you honey.

Keep a watch out, for a bedraggled old dear , ( my spy disguise this week) clutching a bottle wine.

Cause if I remember rightly , you and I have a date, involving fishing , lakes , peace and quiet and a bottle of wine.

See you there then lol

Have a good one , steer clear of temptation.

Dusty xxxxxxxx

Ps 3 days to go if my memory serves me correctly, boy will I be watching out for that post ..........

Thanks Paul, hope you had a wonderful holiday, I'm going to make sure, I go away abroad somewhere this year.

Well diary, I am on 45 days today. 45 Days ago I started my recover again, after getting to 45 days bet free on the first attempt and then blowing it.

No gambling urges with me but I will stay on extra guard today, as I am out and about.

Going to go and see my mate who is fishing, then on to see my dad, getting some pain killers for my tooth ache in between.

If I can make it through today, then my first target will be reached tomorrow.

Have agood day everyone, stay strong.

Wilsy.
