"i am so happy right now"

Fella if that could be bottled I would dish it out to all the cg's and supporters of this wonderfull forum and the moments like this we are so privelidged to share in recovery.

Keep that thought my friend if the urge comes along and use it to stick those two fingers right up it!!!!

Well done from me !!

Many thanks Duncan for your comments. I am happy and proud too but work is holding me back, I've had enough of it and would really like to say 'enough is enough' but I'll be unemployed. Sales in mid July, working from home when nobody is interested in buying, isn't healthy or much fun, I fear we are in trouble this month, I have been doing this long enough and my passion for doing it has dies.

On a happy note 62 days bet free today and the sunny is shining.

Really well done on your progress, mate.

Getting that credit card must have felt like real progress.

Keep up the good work and don't get complacent.

Cheers Paul mate, I do feel normal again, just waiting for it to arrive in the post.

Day 63 today and still bet free, which is good.

Rubbish day really, dongle on my computer packed up, got a migraine, my counseller has a migraine, so she has cancelled our appointment and is on holiday next, so won't see her for two weeks. Feel strong enough to resist the urges but don't feel strong enough at the moment, to do this poxy job!!!

Roll on Saturday, that's all I do during the week, wish it away.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your post, I know 64 days today bet free, I never would have thought I would do so well, I had hoped and am determined, so will stay strong, I'm not going to throw away this good run.

I know, I am pleased because I want to make attempts to improve my credit rating and the only way I can do that, is to trust myself with a card, which won't be a problem. Just want to put myself in a better position come the future, in case I am ever in a position to buy a home. It also feels good to be a human being again and not have to rely on my parents getting finance for me.

Hope is all good with you buddy, will read your diary now.

Thanks for your post fella going strong actually you are going great guns, in regards to the sort I place I cook at fella it is 1aa rosette to which we are working toward a 2 rosette standard something we would like to gain in the future and the kind of food is

a mix of modern british I guess but dont really like to pigeon hole it,just happy that we produce a large amount in

house right down to the bread makes me proud to

be head chef there. I hope you do treat yourself with that card of yours my friend, this I do believe has a big part to play in our recoveries to see what we can have without having a punt.

Well done for your continued endevour toward your own recovery, you are doing so well through 9 weeks now that is massive fella!!!

66 days bet free.

Thanks Duncan and Tomso for your posts. Duncan I wish you all the best with the restaurant, you work very hard by the sounds of it and you deserve to be where you are.

I am still a little way off treating myself, the card was to help improve my credit rating but will wait until payday and will treat myself to something I am sure. If the weather improves I want a day out at Lingleat safari park or Thorpe park but can't plan anything when it is raining.

Had some urges yesterday but didn't act on them, I think the urges will always be there and they tend to creep up on you, without any reason.

Staying firm.

Wilsy

66 days not out... brilliant!

Yes, do treat yourself on payday and don't forget to keep an eye out for offers like 2 for 1 entry.

DAY 67 - Bet free

What can I say about my day, not much, my lack of motivation to do my job has reached a new high, most probably because nobody is buying anything, it's like banging my head against a brick wall. Must start circulating the CV.

On a brighter note, had a lovely weekend, thanks Nearly there for your post, I will keep my eye open, for any two for one offers at the theme parks etc, got some tesco vouchers to redeem.

Getting the odd urge to gamble but won't act on them, I know they are only there because I am struggling with work at the minute. Once I jack this job in and find something less stressful, I will feel much better or at least get back into an office environment!

Fantastic, keep it up !

you should def treat yourself, even if it is just a cream cake!! 🙂

It must be a great feeling to know you can resiste the urges.

We did alot as a family with tesco vouchers, stayed at the hilton for 3 night with the 5 of us, and year passes for lego land. all FOC, mind you we must have spent fortures at tesco!!

Stay strong mate.

71 days bet free

Not been on much recently, not feeling happy at work at all and been to a show twice this week in London, so shattered. Told my boss I quit today, he called me back and told me to think about things over the weekend, which is what I will do, really want to jack it in.

Won't be on over the next few days but will post if urges come back.

Have a good think about things before monday andy just be careful to with the parents away so long, keep your guard up where the gambling is concerned it might try and lure you into a trap.

Take care and stay strong mate

Hey Wilsy,

Take time to think about things carefully before rushing to any decision. There are times when work tests us all, but I find it just goes in waves when you like / hate your job and sometimes you just have to knuckle down and ride it out!
