Hi Jim, we all have days that are easier than others. But you have come through it and I know tomoro will be easier as a result of being strong today.

I say this becos when we get those urges they dont go away and it takes great will power to resist. On other days we might give it a fleeting thought and its a good day. So dont give up and like we say, day by day, good and bad, stay strong. Joy

Jim, to quote Simon & Garfunkel,

"A good day ain't got no rain,

A bad day is when I lie in bed and think of what might have been".

Now to my (slightly drunken) mind, that message is clear...as Joy says, we have good days and bad day. That isn't in our control - but our reaction to it is in our control. How about tomorrow, neither you or I make a bet...

Keep posting mate,

O

Hi Jim,

It is good to hear that you resisted the urge to gamble.

Please remember that you can also telephone the helpline at these times:

Well, normal service has been resumed.

It was a strange day yesterday, basicly I was stuck in town with not much to do. I am so glad that i had self excluded myself from all the bookies as I am sure i would have bet if I could have done.

But, I didn't, so it ended up another successful day in this constant battle against gambling.

I hope that I have learnt some lessons from yesterday and I will try not to find myself in that situation again.

onwards and upwards.

Just realised that I have completed my 90th day since I last bet.

I think I might treat myself and buy something nice on my next day off.

The new Torquay united away top would be nice.

Your 3 months in, I am only 3 weeks in, and going to Torquay next week.

Can pick that top up for you if you like.

Good on you, keep it going. Know what you mean.

Rob.

No gambling urges today, just a hard day at work...working in this sun is killing me!!

Life is good and I feel back on track again. I never want to return to gambling but I know I must take it one day at a time. Enjoy the good days and work my way through the bad days.

good on ya jim.

reaching the 3 month mile stone is a great achievment, and the fact that you are seeing how good life is and can be must be giving you the incentive to go on with the one day at a time style of life.

i suppose we need bad days in our lives to begin to appreciate how good the good days are, but while we are working through the bad stuff, its difficult to remember how good the good can be

anyway, well done

hang in and stay safe
