Hi Jim. I know you are just down the road from me. See you are coming up to 3 years gambling free. Well done. Just over 3 for me and right now I really do not want to go and bet. How is your GA branch doing? They now have one where I am but I have not been. Safe Harbor is very much my GA and right now does it for me.

If you are interested we have a Saturday meeting online at 6 pm each week. We started it as it was intended to be a good time for UK folk to visit.

Anyway let`s carry on with recovery my friend. Good all is well.

thanks guys.

Three years ago today I stopped gambling and turned my life around.

I have never regreted that decision, not even for a second.

I love being a non gambler and living my life to the full.

Gambling is such a waste of time and effort, the only reward being the chance of winning more money to gamble with.

These days, i live life without the stress that gambling brings me, I have money in my pocket to spend on my family or even on me.

And so on to year four.........

Hi there!

I'm so proud of you Jim. You certainly turned your world around & through those deliberate changes that you have made, you also turned our world around.

So thank you with all my heart darling, you make me so happy. Today was a big milestone to reach.... all made by taking each day as it arrived.

We have learnt a lot along the way, through the highs & lows, the good & not so good times. I hope we never stop learning, never stop being the 'team' that we are in life.

Here's to the next day & the next & all those that follow. I love living with a non gambler!

( so do the girls )

I am proud to call you my friends in recovery. You have been important parts of mine. I'm sending tons of hugs and loads of love to you.

Sorry that I am a day late but I was a bit pre-occupied with a needle and some medication yesterday.

Thank you all for all your comments.

I have been here before, three years ago I had been three years without a bet when I decided that I could handle having the odd bet here and there.

Thats exactly what I did, I had the occasional bet and walked out of the bookies whether I won or lost.

Every time I did this I reinforced my belief that I could control it.

Until the day came when i lost and so had another bet and another and another. I was back into compulsive gambling.

Jac and fate caught me out that day and I am so grateful they did, because I was back on the road to destruction.

I learned a valuable lesson that day and that lesson was......

I CAN NEVER GAMBLE AGAIN

and I never will.
