Gull

You are obviously fine and happy with your life so I dunno what you get out of posting sniggering comments on here aimed at some of us who are going through our own process and stages of recovery. Sad.

Its ok Jac

when a gambler is in action and hasnt got the bottle to stop they tend to lash out especially after another large loss.

Well said Jim. The same person has just posted on my diary as well. As you say he is lashing out because everyone is to blame but him.

There could hardly be a bigger contrast between him and you now--you have not gambled for over 3 years yet he struggles to not gamble for 3 hours.

You are an inspiration to stop but actually he is to--we can see how gambling can make us bitter, twisted and deluded.

all the best

Cheers for the post Jim---sorry about my maths but hey 3 years or 4 years pal still a fantastic achievement , even more so considering what happened in the years preceding your decision to quit.

As you say --continue on your merry way as it sure as heck works for you and Jac.

Very best wishes

And have you any new hobbies now that you are gamble free.

Enjoying my sad little life without gambling.

Hi Jim,Your spot on mate, this is your diary and your free to write whatever thoughts you want to on it.......,getting those things down in writing are first and foremost an affirmation to yourself (well that's how i view it when i write on my own diary).I personally didn't see anything remotely offensive in what you put on here, you are like me mate gambling took you to the depths of despair.......,the only way i can arrest this addiction is to make sure i never place any form of bet again.

Seano.

Thanks for all your posts of support, even being over four years clean its still good to get encouragment and help as I travel this path of recovery.

Its my day off today, I can choose what I want to do with it.

I could choose to spend it in the bookies hoping for that life changing win that never comes, or I could choose to enjoy life.....its a no brainer really.

So come on life, what treats do you have in store for me today?
