Two weeks today !

Happy to announce I have finally reached what seems a resonance milestone in my journey the first week was tough but after my first attempt went down the toilet I wasn't letting it happen again ! "Clean for 14" had a great week, was my birthday Monday had a great day with friends and family. Again Wednesday is a tough day for me because despite my fight I still do miss playing the game of poker I miss the rush and the thrill of wining but not the depression and guilt etc which comes with the loss I suppose. Still haven't been back, still haven't even told anyone what I'm doing about going back or not but I think they understand. Off work and college now till Monday so I'll have a lot of free time just been my birthday so I have a lot of money but I am not going to gamble at all ! Treated myself so some clothes today to celebrate the 2 week mark! So anyway I will be on again in the next couple of days for an update and day count etc 🙂

Take care all,

Batman

21 days gamble free today !

Feelings really good about things feel like I have been able to do a lot more now because I have a bit more money spare, actually enjoying my life now ! Was at a bit of a low point for a while but giving up gambling seems to be one of the best things I have ever done, I am now at the stage where I just hate it like I'll see people buy a scratch card and it just makes me angry. I don't like the way it is so heavily advertised there is always something trying to draw people in, it should be made illegal ! But never mind at least we are all making the right choice 🙂 So seems I have hit blackjack with the number of days, that's the only "blackjack" I'll be hitting now ! In the words of a wise man I once knew "happy days" 🙂

Morning Batman,

Looks like Gotham has got its hero!! "Happy Days" indeed.........I know a man who says that....albeit, sadly not with us any more, I see him living on through his amazing family. I'm sure your folks are incredibly proud of you Batman, 3 weeks clean must be taking so much pressure off you and them.

We'll done that man!!

Dear diary

It's seems like it's been ages since I last updates my diary so here goes, I am going to try and be updating it more now that I am not as busy, I have applied for and had an interview this week for a promotion within Sainsbury's to be a supervisor, I will keep updated how it goes ! On to the gambling side of things, my road to recovery is still going well and I am now proud to tell people the number of days I have achieved, all the support and kind words I receive from family and friends is just great, seems like that's all it takes to give you the high spirit and motivation you need ! Passing the grand national was a bit tough for me because everyone around me had at least a small bet or win on it and despite being tempted to have a small bet I steered clear and stayed strong. Bit of a nervous wreck at the moment for this job but I hope it goes well, really need that turning point in my life to truly get me back on the rails, so I will keep this more updated, thanks for reading guys hope all ok

Bye for now

Batman 🙂
