Hello Oldhamktf,

Great advice and much appreciated. Just back from the bank so I lodged the cash. I had to walk past the bookmakers before the bank. I was tempted to go in but this Toad is determined today.

Keep the barriers up,

Good luck everyone today.

Toad.

Hope it stayed a good day toad. Why not exclude from the bookies local to your work, that's what I have done look I can probably walk 10 mins in any direction and find one i haven't but I have to make that extra effort pass the ones I gave excluded and in that time I hope I will get a grip and turn round.

Thankyou Oldhamktf,

Day 2

Good morning Gampeeps,

Just had a small breakfast. I forgot to say. I am also off alcohol for 2 months and on a diet. I am also not gambling. The life of a monk lol

I am going to self exclude from the nearest bookies. I need barriers up. Today I am bringing no cash with me.

I meant to say aswell in the past I sometimes ate my lunch in the bookies. It is odd that. But last week some geezer was doing the same so maybe toad isn't that odd afterall. Lol well i have 4 purple spots on my green membrane lol only joking.

We are getting overtime at work next week. I might aswell do it. The extra cash always comes in usefull.

Anyway this Toad today won't be gambling for sure. I am safe today.

Good luck folks today, refrain from gambling let's stop feeding the fobts aswell. They are hungry as a hound 🙂

Toad.

Morning Gampeeps,

Day 1

Okay you know whats coming. Not only did I gamble yesterday but I was deceitfull.

I am angry with myself and disapointed. So I withdrew ВЈ10 from the bank. Got it up to £25 then blew it all.

Part 2 of this sad saga. Rang the wife and told her i'd a bogus bill to pay of ВЈ30. Got it up to £80 then blew the lot.

So today I have £2 in. I promised myself not to lie to wife again. That's unfair and i don't fo it often thankfully.

On a happy note I phoned my mobile phone provider to query my bill. They said i was £180 in credit which i was baffled with. Can you forward that to my bank account i asked? Yes we can it's processed. Who knows? Maybe it will come through and I will pay most of my overdraft.

So I am not happy with myself at all. Going to see gambling counsellor one to one this afternoon. I have been seeing him since 2013. He must be getting sick of looking at me.

Anyway I need to learn from yesterday and wise up. You only get so many chances. I am not a cat with 9 lives afterall, a toad just has one lol.

Good luck y'all in your recovery. I wish you well....don't do what i did yesterday.

Tarnished toad.

Morning toad

SPOILER ALERT-this ain't going to be pretty

Sorry to hear this, no I'm not sorry I'm frustrated I'm can only assume you went into the bookies in the city you didn't exclude from if you really want this you would slam that door shut it keeps letting you back in stop making excuses. Not excluding taking you bank card with you that's 2 out 3 of the triangle leaving just time the easiest one to break if we don't put the blocks in place

Commit to this I and others on here are committed to you but we can't do it for you.

Ok a couple of positives you came back you was honest with us your going to counselling.

One question I would be asking your counsellor is do I want to stop gambling or do I want to stop losing? You might think they are similar but they are very different.

Right Toad lets get a grip and work this gambling s**t out

Toad,

You lied to your wife. Don't give yourself any prizes for only doing it occasionally.

What if she had a lover, equivalent to your gambling mistress? "Well, it's only occasional, so no problem." Seriously?

Easy enough for you to confess to the forum but do you have what it takes to come clean to her?

Grow up.

Why have I typed toad 15 times. Well since you started your diary that is the amount of times you say you have gambled. Simple as that.

That is the bad news.

The good news is that you are still here, still trying and still questioning things.

In my opinion the current tools you are using are not working and as an individual and a group we must think of other ways to help you.

Oldham hit the nail on the head - get a grip.

CW again is completely right - you lied to your wife.

Mrs Toad deserves a medal!!!.

My view - you are getting fab advice from all on this site. Please take note of this. We are not giving up on you.

Shows us you can do it

Day 1,

Hello Gampeeps,

Yes I agree Mrs Toad deserves a medal. BUT I will change. I am not perfect I know.

But I am good to my wife in every other way. I agree with CW it's easier to tell the forum.

Sure if I tell the wife I gambled she said she is leaving me. I am on my last chance. So i'm hardly going to tell her am I?

I make make no excuses for lying it was wrong I know that. I appreciate all your advice folks aswell. I can only try to be a better person.
