Just a quick post to wish you a good weekend. It's forecast really cold next week but it won't be as cool as the 225 Days GF on your profile page. YIHAAA ROCK ON SHARON & keep blazing that trail ...stephen
Aaaaah thank you Stephen hope you have a top weekend too. i indeed intend to continue odaat and get ever further away from my last gamble. Take care my friend S:)
Thankyou for posting on my diary Sharon, I always appreciate your humour and good advice...stephen
Well done Sharon, keep chipping away. I hope to stop fretting about spending money myself. We need to enjoy the day and not give it a thought.
Hi Degenerate it'S really hard to not have that black cloud looming 24/7 but the damage is done and we need to live our lives. I am committed to my dmp and yes it hurts to see that going out of my account but that in hand with not gambling are my only goals for now. I have had a v.sad example that life us short and precious recently so each day at a time is for me! Take care S 🙂
Hi Sharon thankyou for posting on my diary.
I feel annoyed when I make my monthly debt payment thinking what a fool I have been. I will have paid it off in another 5 years.
Belinda Carlisle is really good, i'm about to play some of her music. Take care ...stephen
You're welcome Stephen, yep it's painful to see thst money repairing the damage I've caused every month. But lets all go forward together, take care S:)
The hardest part is paying off the debt, a bitter pill to swallow. But we all know CG is just a car crash, we got out looked back saw the destroyed car, and we have to pay for it. But it never got us, it wants us to buy a new one and try again, we walk past the showroom daily and we get sent all the offers buy now pay later. But every day we walk on by is another victory for all of us.
Hi Sharon
The debt is a firm reminder that we cannot win unless we stop. Once your debt has gone the satisfaction and freedom will beat any quick fix gambling offers. Yes you have been a fool in some ways but without the debt the determination to quit wouldn't be there.
Keep going Sharon, your doing great.
Matt
@Smashed I've never thought about it like this but yes everyday the temptations are there but seem to fade with time. I had debts before I started gambling and part of me must of thought it would be easy money....wrong! The pretence sites use to reel people in is so false and now I'm on the other side I can see that. Thanks Smashed for a thoughtful post.
@Matt 24 True, my debt should be cleared in 18 months and I'm sticking to my budget rigidly. Dmp are fantastic and make the budget liveable. Thanks as always for your support and inspiration 🙂
Good for you Sharon, staying gamble free and piling up those days will soon make that 18 months fly.
Stay strong
Matt
Well done Sharon. You've accumulated a massive 233 days free from gambling, and paid a chunk off your debt. Only 18 months to go! And as Matt said - without the debt you would not have the determination to quit.
Thanks for your kind words @change yep it'S a constant reminder to not even go there! 🙂
Morning Sharon and congratulations on 234 Days Gamble Free ....stephen
