Back here again after years of trying to control my gambling. I just can’t walk away until I have nothing. I was debt free but slowly heading back to debt due to gambling. Which is a place I can’t go again. Chasing your loses to break even all the time, to get your money back yes I know we have all been there. This time I need to stop for good. I tried to stick to one bet a day. Was going great but as soon as I fancy something it’s cash out and putting it on it loses and it’s destruct mode. I have stopped so many times an went back to it thinking I can control it. Day 1 moving forward to a better life

Really good luck to you. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your life free of gambling. Some days I feel a glimpse of what this may be like... Others are tough and I wonder if it will always be this melancholy. Maybe the see-saw effect will be what it like for the rest of my existence. Who knows. All I know is that if I gamble again my future is destroyed. Ride the waves but just don't gamble again. Life will get better. Good luck.

On day 3, feeling positive and determined to stay gamble free. Everyday I am admiring to myself that I am a compulsive gambler and there for must not gamble at anytime. To actually have money and know that I will have that amount left by the end of the day if I watch what I am doing. It is far less stressful. Here’s to another gamble free day folks. Stay strong .

Hi ally

I too shared your views until I read Allen Carr book Easy Way To Stop Gambling, changes your way of thinking, takes all the pressure off. Millions have used the book and successfully given up. Good luck, well done on 10 days.

Thanks very much for your kind words Sean. I will have a read at the book. Day 11 gamble free. No urges and keeping busy with work. Can’t beilve the money you have not gambling. Makes me scared to think how much I was losing. They say everyday is healer. I can never change the past but I can help to build a better future

15 days gamble free. I feel a weight of my shoulders by not gambling. I am sure everyone gambles for different reasons and there feeling when losing is different. The weekend again. Loads of sport on. I plan to keep busy and not given to gambling . It’s evil

Ally.
My dear friend for me it's not gambling that's evil it's gambling addiction, you like me are a gambling addict, whilst active we live by a mantra
I cannot win because I cannot stop.
I gave up to hating, it for me leaves a door open, addiction sells you the line that it's not fair that you can't gamble, it wants you to believe that you the next time things will be different.
Well we both know they won't.
I enjoy sports today for what they are, a contest, the outcome of which has a context that I don't let affect my life because I am learning to live with addiction without feeding it.
The effect is profound.
Regards Duncs.

Thanks dunc for your amazing words of supports. Saturday over and another gamble free day. I enjoyed watching the sport again today with not a gamble. I realise now how much I used to get wound up by results. I sat back and listened to everyone get annoyed with horses or football results. I made me realised how far I have come in being over 2 weeks gamble free

Day 21 gamble free. Going ok. Feeling positive. Keeping busy a reminding myself how I have got here and how I cannot go back to that dark place. Every day is a learning curve off how I can stay gamble free by staying busy.
