Well done on a very honest post, each day you aren't gambling you are winning, so stay postitive and look forward to a much happier, honest, fufilling future!
I've been depressed in the past by thinking I could never bet again, it takes a moment of sobriety to take a step back and think how stupid/selfish that sounds. Millions of people don't bet, they don't feel the need to win money, they are happy earning and spending on themselves and their families. Us gamblers think we have a devine right to win more money, even more so when we have lost, takes a while to comprehend the money is gone and I'm not going to try and win it back. Going to be a long hard slog but I'm sure I'll get there, hope you can too!
Good luck!

Watch a documentary on YouTube called BBC moving on - Punter
it is 45 minutes of showing what us gamblers become at our worst, it's a very sobering documentary.
we share some parallels in how I used to be a few months ago...luckily I am gamble free for over 60 days and enjoying my money once again!
keep positive and think of your family and you'll be just fine mate!

I meant drama, not doc but still feels very real the same!
Keep the diary up (-: It'll be worth it. Wishing you luck at this end. I've sat down and planned the next 2 weeks with my girlfriend to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Breaking Bad will definitely kill some time, it consumed about a month for me! Great distraction!
I used to like a bet or two when the wife was out, usually it would be an innocent small coupon and by HT if my bets didn't look like coming in I'd start to get twitchy and start betting bigger on games and playing casino games. Glad I can see the warning signs now before I've even gambled, just need to keep reminding yourself that you can't control it no matter what.
Hi,thanks for sharing,New myself to the forum, keep at it,I'm struggling today but I won't give in! Breaking bad is must by the way,I've just started homeland, anything to keep me out of the bookies!
Hi, Hope your getting on ok and finding ways to help you. Ive thought about the slots over the weekend, only thing I did was put me and my Mams Irish lotto on (£ 3 each) Unfortnatley it means going into the bookies but got in and out of there as quick as i could!
