It’s been about 15 years now of gambling and I hope this is the message of recovery . When the bookmakers reduced  the FOBT machines to £2 limit spins I honestly believed this would help me massively ! But boy was I wrong , this has caused me to play online slots which have caused me to almost lose my job and family . Last night I lost £1000 online and have now woken up feeling like c**P . I feel me writing this diary can help massively as I prey and hope my gambling addiction can Finally end . This disease is on the verge of killing me and turns me into someone I’m not . I would love to look back on this message a few months down the line and say yes I can beat this addiction . I have now self excluded myself online and in bookmakers , but I just hope I have the power to say No ..... September 20 2019 was the last day I gambled and it’s staying like that .Â
Hi.. sorry to hear about whats happened. If you add another 10 years then that's the length of time that I have been a problem gambler. When you say self-excluded online, do you mean that you have signed up to gamstop? The reason I ask, is that gamstop is very effective and will stop you registering and gambling at almost all online casino's. If you have just self-excluded from a few of your usual sites then this will not stop you gambling because there is always another site.
When I use to lose a bunch of money at an online site, i'd feel terrible and self-exclude from that site and maybe a few others BUT the pain of a big loss soon passes and when the itch next strikes you may find yourself searching the web for another gambling site.
I hope that you are able to look back at this message in a few months time and feel in a much better place. I hope I can say the same for myself. Am talking to myself to... in a non-mad way 🙂

I always knew that the reduction to £2 a 'spin' or 'go' was the biggest con from the government.
I used to play on those d**n poker machines 20 years ago and their max bet was £2. That slot is small, but over 4 years, I managed to fit an entire house through one....
