Day 10
It's been a tough ten days and I think if I'm honest the only reason I've managed to stay off the slots is a lack of money. Some days are easier than other and normally comes down to how busy I am. Luckily, with work and and building work at home I am very busy at the moment so this is helping.
The real test for me is going to be pay day next week. I have reduced all my overdrafts which is definitely helping as before I was gambling with whatever money was available which has landed me in a load of debt.
Onwards and upwards, loads happier not gambling, long may it continue
Day 23
Just over three weeks and been keeping really busy so not to think about gambling and this seems to be working.
Had a few urges that I've dealt well with. Went in to town last week and was really tempted to gamble but thought through the urge and knew i would lose and be mad at myself and this was enough to stay out the bookies.
