Hi All

I havent posted this week as ive been working long hours. Although i have been keeping an eye on the posts.I can see that there may be a bogus diary on here and that it is upsetting a few people.I dont think i got to read it before it was edited.

Anyway ive had no gambling urges.

Im off to golf again in the morning and then i might take the missus out for tea.Im glad to see all the usual suspects still going strong lol.I will catch up and post on the diaries later today. Thanks all.Jeff.

Hey Jeff,

Following on from wp's post....if you didn't manage to keep it up I know a guy with some blue pills who can sort that out for you!

Good to see that you're doing well, and that a "normal" life is attainable for a CG.

Keep it up, 😉

Ryan

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your post - you are doing really well!

You come across as taking your recovery very seriously, which is dead good obviously!

Ay up Jeff

How are things going mate--just found you languishing on page 3 and noted you have not posted for about 10 days. Is everything going well mate or are you stuck in a bunker somewhere?

Hi All

I havent posted for a while as a lead on my computor monitor had broke.I have been on my daughters laptop a few times just to have a quick read but not really been able to post.So thank you Stumper for bringing me back to page 1 lol.

Its strang though on monday i was off work and went to Telford to pick up some birds with my dad.We were talking and i said i might be home in time to make the first race.It was just instinctional i suppose.

Maybe it was because i hadnt posted for a while. For a minute i just had to remind myself im no longer a gambler. So i think i better catch up with some posting. All the best Jeff.

Hi Jeff

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Started same time as you say, but seems the level of commitment may have been a little different!

Well done on your achievement. I look forward to that same feeling in 6 months like you say.

However, for now, I will just concentrate in the present.

Thanks for your support Jeff.

Hi Jeff,

I've had what you experienced a few times. It seems that the forum is almost like our conscience, we need to read or post to stay focused almost. Anyway, well done on realising a potential trigger and doing something about it.

Stay Strong

Steve

P.s I read about your 80 the other day. I'm very envious. Can't do better than low 90's at the mo.

Thanks for the post Jeff, hope your new Birds are good racers mate, strange that you had that odd thought about getting home in time for the first race,i guess we all lived our lives around the racing for so long it's ingrained in our brains!!!.

Hi Jeff,

Cheers for the post mate.

I used to play Brackenwood a lot when i was younger. Really used to enjoy it round there. 80 is a good knock. I will have to go back there one day and see if i can better that!

Great to see you still going strong.

Hi All

Just got in from work and i have to say its doing my head in working the long hours. One thing that keeps me going though is that i have money left each week.I am now almost 7 months gamblefree and i must admit for the first 4 or 5 months i thought about gambling every day, even though it wasnt always an urge.I think now i dont have it on my mind as much, but i wont get complacent.Im enjoying spending my spare time with my family.I think they are enjoying it too.Infact i know my missus is enjoying spending the money lol.All the best Jeff.
