Hi All

As most of you know i still watch all my favourite sports Fooball, horse racing, golf etc,but without the bet.Yesterday i was watching racing with my dad who still has a bet,but keeps it under control. The guinees was on and my dad said to me what do i think will win.Well yes you have guessed the rest i picked out the winner at 33/1.

For a minute i thought what if id have had £20 on that.(my gambling mind taking over).

Then i realised just how much i have saved over the last 7 months.Would i really swap that for one win.I think not.I would have to have a winner like that every week to stay on top and as ive probably only had about 10 winners of that price in my life then its very unlikely isnt it.When you have not got your gambling head on you realise just how much the odds are stacked against you.

Have a good weekend all.Im taking the kids to gullivers world now with the money i have saved from not gambling. All the best Jeff.

Nice one Jeff. My last bet was on the 1000 gunnies. They kept going on about the favourite so I lumped on and lost. Never again I hope. I take inspiration from what you have been through and look forward to being bet free for as long as you have. Well done and all the best.

Hi Jeff hope you won your game of golf with your mates--life can be great if you beat your mates but not so good if you lose!!

I love to pick winners on the racing on tv now--when they win I always think to myself how long would it have taken me to lose my winnings and then realise that it would probably have all been handed back the same day.

Thanks for your post no car boot sadly as raining here! How impressed was I to read how you talked your self out of that £20 bet, all that hard work in 7 months would have been blown apart and now you would feel dreadful. I am very proud of you for resisting. Keep it up, love maddie x

Hi Jeff, hope the golf went well and you have obtained the bragging rights at work....,well done on overcoming the small temptation to have a bet,i guess we will always have the odd thought like that from time to time.

Well done Jeff--far better reward to enjoy something from your own efforts than rely on some little fella sat on the back of some horse that is probably a non trier.

Only 4 weeks until the Whit Bank Holiday.

£14 for 5 hours enjoyment (that's longer than the proffessionals take, you should've got 2 stroke pen for slow play lol)....6 months ago that £14 would've lasted 1minute on a gee gee mate...great to see...we can do this. 🙂
