Hi All

Steve the answer to how did the golf go ? is exactly what SA predicted really badly. Its not often he is wrong and hes right again lol.

The hangover got the better of me and i even had to go home and sleep it off instead of going back to the pub.Still while im asleep im not gambling lol.

I will say this.I was fresh as a daisy when i got up for work at 5-30 this morning.I noticed on somebodys diary they mentioned about how much advertising by the big betting offices has recently arrived on our screens.I too have noticed this.but maybe it has to advertise because they are losing us as customers.lol.Or maybe they just want more the greedy chuffers. All the best Jeff.

Evening Jeff,

I'm not having it that the hangover spoilt your golf mate. Kevin Costner shot the all time record low round in the US Open after a night on the tiles in 'Tin Cup'. If you have not seen that one then make sure you do as it is a belter.

If you are anything like me then you will have an image in your mind of what people who post regularly on here look like.

I've got you in my head looking something like this............

Close!?

Hi Jeff I know bout the hangovers had a few myself 😉 I think more and more advertising is starting to happen or it could be that we just notice it more as we change our lifestyle away from gambling. I know that I notice them more where as when Im gambling its just another joint to play at. Hope all is good -) best thoughts to you Blocked.

Jeff...personally think they re becoming too greedy...another shivering image is the pay day loans adverts that seem to follow the gambling ones encouraging vulnerable folk like myself...embarrassingly for me that was a way of life and most prob drove my ex away in the end...looks like the trust has gone forever mate...never mind onwards and upwards as they say...we can do this 🙂

Hi Jeff,

You said really badly mate, but worse than 107?? I doubt it. I want to keep my reign as crapest golfer on gamcare thank you very much!! lol.

I really hate that advert with Ian Wright and Chris Kamara at the moment. There seems to be a lot of bookie promotion going on at the moment. I've got one for them to stick on there doors if they like, it goes like this:

"WARNING, ENTERING THIS SHOP MAY HAVE A SERIOUS, HARMFUL EFFECT ON YOUR WELL BEING"

Not a chance sadly though, hey.

Anyway, keep up the good work mate and I had you as more of the Paul Newman look about ya than Curly's effort lol.

Stay Strong

Steve

Evening Jeff,

I'd have bet good money on you having a moustache! That would have been another loser for my collection.

Keep up the good work Jeff!

Hands up all of those that would have done their money last night on England in their old gambling days lol.

Sometimes on this forum people say things that others dont agree with.I dont think anybody will disagree with me when i say England were chite.

It does just say one thing though. You dont have to have a bet on them to feel let down.

I had a thought last night.Do gamblers in England get fair odds,or do bookmakers play on our loyalty?England were around the 1-3 mark in England, but were they that short in any other country?

Anyway i lost nothing on that game or any other game of the world cup.I hope you have all done the same.Like i say we dont need to have money on it to go through the emotions.Lets hope things get better. All the best Jeff.

Hi Jeff,as you know i never used to bet much on the football for exactly the reason you have pointed out mate.......,the odds are never a true reflection of the likely outcome, even more so when it comes to England.

Like you mate and most of the nation,i felt really let down.....they were utterly useless.

Morning Jeff,

Cheers for the post. It looks like Tiger is still not his old self on the course. That would have been another bet down.

It has been nice watching the bits of the world cup i have managed to see without having any bets on. I definitely prefer it to the bad old days.

England were very poor last night but i think they will come good next week. Capello takes a lot of the blame for me thus far. His insistence upon playing 442 is not doing us any favours. None of the top coaches play 442 anymore not since David Moyes introduced the 4-4-1-1 formation in 2005 and took Everton to 4th! Time to play Gerrard in behind Rooney and get Joe Cole in on the left.

Great to see you taking the time to get up this morning and post support on so many diaries.

Enjoy your weekend Jeff.

Thanks for taking the time to post on my diary.

I'm feeling so much better these days although it has only been a month. My gambling days feel a long way behind me.

You have done great in moving forward. It's nice that you still take the time to support and encourage people on here.

Have a good day

Lili
