Hi Jeff.

Thanks very much for the post mate.

You are right in that i am planning to take a leaf out of your book and post less on my own diary and more on others. Seems to work for you mate!

As for the game tonight it is a tough one to call but i think the chance for City to go top may be enough of a motivational factor!

I fear a narrow win for City but as Russ says you need to watch out for the elusive Timmy Cahill.........

Have a good xmas mate......... starting tomorrow!

Hi All

I done something this morning which i have never done before.Yesterday our tumble dryer blew up.This morning i went out and bought a new one.Not so strange .except i have never in all my gambling years actuall bought a new washer or dryer, simply because i couldnt afford it.Well infact i could but i chose to use all my money for gambling. It just felt good to not say to myself what rotten luck ive had a really unlucky day in the bookies and now this has happened.

These trivial things happen all the time and i realised before i just seen it as using my gambling money to replace it.

I also wanted to wish everyone merry christmas .

I am going down town soon to get the food shopping.I expect it will be hectic. This year i have got the kids everything they want for christmas. This has only been possible because i no longer gamble.even though i lost my house and car through gambling i feel i was also lucky. First of all it hit home and made me seek help but also i was able to start again from scratch without a lot of debt which was tied up in the house.I may no longer have my house.i now have a cheaper car ,but most of all i still have my family and peace of mind. Thanks all Jeff.

Hi Jeff.. great post. Yes.. its the cumulative affect of all those little things, like being able to replace a dead tumble dryer with a new one which add to the quality of our lives.. sometimes I forget this myself.

I have a similar example. A while back my washing machine stopped working. So what did I do.. well I called the man out and he fixed it and he fixed it for FREE because I was still paying the £5 insurance that i'd signed up for when i bought it. If i was fully back in my Cg world that £5 D/D would long ago have been cancelled and i'd be washing my clothes by hand over the bath.

Happy Christmas.. S.A 🙂

Hi Jeff.

I hope City manage to top the table this afternoon. No game for Everton as the pipes are frozen!

I really wish the weather would improve a little! No chance of a few sneaky holes on the golf course for the forseeable future!

Early congratulations on your first year gamble free Jeff. A great achievement.

Thanks for your generous support which is much appreciated.

All the best for the remainder of the festive period.

Hi Jeff. Thank you so much for you continued support in my diary. It means a lot to this old girl. Peace of mind... Wow! What a nice place to be in. And you so deserve it. You have worked really hard at getting better and the same goes for your family. They have worked hard too, to make things the way they are now. I am grateful to have friends like you. I hope you had a great Xmas. Lots of love and Hugs to you and yours. Sabine. x
