Hi Mba, sorry its been a while since I checked up on you mate. Sorry to hear you had a relapse. 2 steps forward and 1 back I'm afraid sometimes :/ Being in a desperate financial situation with other stress factors added does make the mind wonder and do funny things. The main thing is your still trying, your still here. So well done for that.

Reading your post mate I have to be a bit harsh and say you really need to pick yourself and get your emotions under control. Feel proud that you want to change something bad in your life and you are trying. Worrying about what could of been and looking for ways to salvage a sunken ship are ship won't do you any favors.

Keep up the fight mate, it does get easier I promise. Couple of years down the line you will laughing. You found a weakness and took control of it.

Matt

Hi matt

Thanks for the response. My relapse was definitely one step back and two steps forward as I feel different and more confident than before.

Totally agree to forget about what could have been and I havs accepted it now and working as many extra hours to get rid of the debts and start saving for my and my girls' future.

Hope your keeping well and still abstaining mate.

Mba

Hi MBA

Glad to see you are still going strong, so hard to pick yourself up after a slip so well done. This is it now, no more gambling, the start of a happy life.

Take care

James

Nice one mba, keep it up. I'm new on here but I think it's helping me knowing there are loads of people on here in the same boat. With all the support and encouragement I'm sure we can all get rid of these demons

Cheers miller.

It definitely helps reading diaries and stories on here so ensure you spend your old betting time on here reading and commenting.

I'll read your story later if you have one.

Well done on 10 days MBA, great effort and you seem to be coping a bit better with it all?

Your dad ok?

10 days today thank you.

My dad had pins put in his hip rather than a replacement but is housebound till late October. Coping well tho thanks

I am very happy with my abstaining and have so many other things in life to focus on which keeps me busy anyway.

11 days now but at this very moment I want a bet. Im Looking at the in play tennis games.

I'm not going to bet but at this time I want to. I know its because the agony of a loss has worn off.

Thought I'd better post on here and I'll be back tomorrow with 12:days clean.

Im an absolute idiot.

Its amazing how hard it is to give up and have been a loser for the last 3 weeks.

Something hit me yesterday and I'm going to try again. I'm more worried about other things in life at the moment than gambling and money.

This year has been the most messed up year of my life when it should have been my most memorable. ...

My nan died she was like a mum and brought me up

I got married to the most amazing woman ever

My niece and my daughter got christened

My dad broke his hip and still cannot walk

Dont want anything else bad. Just wanna end this year with no more gambling from now and no more heartache.
