Ahha Junie i see... ginger skin and blond hair with a strawberry tint, well that's why you don't understand the "keep calm and Ginger on" reference, lol.....and because gingers are a dying breed some fellow gingers accept 'strawbs' as affiliated members..it's a true compliment to Juuune...have a great weekend, onwards and upwards...Ginger x

Evening Ginge!

I know you don't post much on your own diary, but I hope this finds you well and fully making progress in the right direction. One more day and the weekend is here again, and with spring seeming to have sprung over the last couple of days, are you poised for an outbreak of freckles? Was sat in the sun earlier on, before I had to head to work, and the couple of days off is going to be sensational!

Hope all's well with you,

Ryan

Hi Abstainers

124 days ago I came to this wonderful forum looking for guidance and help because in decades of gambling I had tried and failed to quit on my own.

today my cover was blown, after 36 years of marriage my wife decided she was gonna start snooping on me and read my diary (which was never a secret) because of this I sadly now feel I will have to carry on recovery alone as I cannot continue knowing that my privacy has been invaded in such a way.

without..ODAAT(Junie)..Suzanne..Duncs..Ryan..DP..Ade..NT..and many other friends I've made on the forum I wouldn't be as far down this recovery road today as i am and will be forever in your debt...thanks Guys.

please keep traveling...onwards and upwards...thanks so much everyone....Ginger.

Sounds a bit of a childish reaction to an understandable reaction from her after many years of deceit

Gingernut i too have the skin of a rhino so lets have a rational conversation rather than throwing our toys out of the pram.
Would i read someones diary that had been left out. Hell yes if they had spent years lying to me. That everytime i had trusted them before they had misused my trust. If everytime their behaviour changed i was frightened to death my life was going to be in turmoil yet again.
You ask that she should trust you but why on earth would she. You say whats the point of being honest if they dont believe me, well thats their issue not yours, if your side of the street is clean you have nothing to worry about.
Look it was nothing personal. Just an observation that you are over reacting to a situation that could be easily resolved with an adult conversation with your wife. Your throwing in something you believe is helping on a miss placed sense of moral high ground.

After what we have all put our partners through i thought maybe she should be cut a bit of slack

Hi Ginge,

You do what's best for you mate. Recovery is indeed bespoke, and you have done fantastically well to navigate the last four months so very well.

It's a good job that you do have a thick skin mate, as posts like the one you received on your diary earlier today are totally unnecessary and uncalled for. What good can come from such a flippant remark like that?........

Keep strong my friend

All the very best for the future

Ade

Hi Ginge,

Sorry to hear you feel need to move away from the forum but as Ade said, you have to do what works for you the best.

Onwards and upwards, stay safe and keep winning!
