For me yesterday was a day of mixed emotions because a forum friend fell at a hurdle, I knew deep down that this journey is not gonna be without moments like that and I truly felt his pain, because he a longstanding forum member had the time for me the new boy and for that I will be forever grateful, I know he's gonna bounce back and stronger from the experience. DP along with your other pals I eagerly await your return.

then after a relaxing evening mainly listening to the ding, ding of the wife's phone as she holds a cyber conversation with the golf balls, I decided to have a quick look on the forum before retiring to find that Ade was avin a barby to celebrate his 80th, cheers for the Peroni fella, then ODAAT turned up so thanks to them for turning my day around, you really picked my P****r up. ooohh errr Mrs...sorry junie it's the govners fault he's a bad influence on me....have a safe gamble free day everyone,...onwards and upwards...Ginger.

It's out of proportion like every thing else in this day and age lol, now when I was young (last century) lol, the whole point of Valentine's Day, was to keep it a secret to who you sent a card too, and the excitement of receiving one and not knowing who from, was what it was all about. Lol. Everything now is about spending money ( and this is without losing money lol)

Anyway have a lovely gambling free day and evening.

I don't 'do' Valentine's Day (I'm not sure Mr Gamble ever appreciated my undivided attention) because it's too commercialised (& I was a right minger @ school) but I got home from work last night/this morning & sitting on the worktop was a card with a £1.99 Golden Arches meal deal voucher inside (free as on the back of NM's parking thingy which he had to pay for anyway) & a shortbread chunk (which I happen to know costs 60p in the local M&S)...It literally bought a tear to my eye! Now it might well be because he's Northern but I prefer to think it's because he gets me (which is rather amazing because a) he is Northern & b) I'm a bird)! In any case, that's Valentine's dinner sorted 😉

Soz I didn't reply to you yesterday...It's quite disturbing how similar we are & I'm not just talking 'no Cod for me thanks, make mine a Rock & sod the expense', I wasn't in the best place either & your bromance really did make me chuckle! I don't think I could have done the tenner thing, notes used to literally burn in my hand...I always used to hold my breath with the pennies (but you know the crack, that's all that's left, the last little bit that the ATM won't let you withdraw) in case the credit card people got the hump...'5p is this a joke?' I could hear them saying but it wasn't so I'm jolly (who says that word) glad I can laugh about it now! I think all these full stops & brackets are summat to do with our age...I don't think they were part of the 3 R's 😉

Anyway, why does typing a post run down the battery so quickly? I'm off to put the phone on charge & buy some gravy & mushy peas to make the NM's day! Have a wonderful gamble free day & an even better evening when Mrs Ginge comes home! You could even run her a nice bath & give her a massage - she'll have earned it! Juuuuuune

Weird but for some reason the real name for a flying rat can't be spelled out on here either! Anyway, I digress!

It sure did turn out nice again 🙂 I'm a bit worried what the ginger skin is gonna make of it's 1st full Summer out of the bookies but let's face it 3rd degree burns would be less damaging than what I have inflicted on myself over the years! I'll cross that bridge with the factor 50 when we get our 2 days 😉
