If you spot any of those low flying t**s, could you grab a pair for me. 😉

Washing up has currently been deferred until later. However, it will definitely be done at some point in the indefinite future. Glad things are going alright with you too!

Look @ you naughty boys not getting edited - Good skills 😉

I know you're not a massive day counter (probably not got enough fingers unlike the Guvnor) but I see Suzanne's cheating you out of a win...It's not her fault, she's blonde (but will prob come back & edit it to make me look like one of those birds you lot are yacking on about)! So gonna say it right...Good going on 89 Ginge, lovely to have had you beside me 🙂

A fine running total me ol' mucker! ;0)

Keep strong and look after your golf balls.

Hi Ginge,

Thanks for dropping by, yes last PD loan finished after next month, (just leaves my long term debt then lol) but to finish these destructive horrible PD loans will certainly be a big achievement.

Hope you are having a good gambling free day, cos IT SURE HAS TURNED OUT NICE AGAIN.

Take care and be good HD

Hi Ginge,

Thanks for your post on my diary.......and thanks for making me chuckle again with another of your comedy classics! ;0)

Well done on 92 days my friend. All jokes aside, it's great to be walking this recovery road alongside some people who are at a similar stage of recovery. And who are equally focused on changing those old engrained habits that for far too long, took away far too much of us.

It's also great to have a bit of banter along the way, and with the likes of yourself, Gregg, Ryan, ODAAT, Sandra, Suzanne, and countless others for me this recovery diary has helped me so so much.

Keep those comedy gems coming mate. I actually used the Armeggedon joke at work on Thursday! ;0)

Keep strong

Ade

Hi Abstainers

the wonderful thing about the forum is it's ability to keep you focused on the journey ahead, ODAAT made a fantastic comment in a post recently about not wanting to give up gambling....but wanting to give up loosing.....that comment nailed everything about what I wish to achieve.......I want to stop loosing...FULL STOP...I now realise it's not gambling I want to quit it's loosing...I can't believe it's taken over 35 years for me to come to the conclusion that they come as a f-cking pair.

I remember an interview on the radio with Clement Freud MP grandson of Sigmund broadcast just after his death in which he was asked about the gambling in his life, and replied by saying "people bet then say their gamblers, but you're not a gambler untill you stake more than you can afford to loose, by then it's too late." he then paused and said " yes I'm a gambler."

like Clement I'm a gambler....but for today I will not loose because I will not gamble.....I wish the same to you all.....onwards and upwards....Ginger.

Gambling is to win as wrong is to right huh? How did it take us so long to figure out?!? (Probably not supposed to use punctuation like that!) I too am a gambler but today I choose 'No'!

I have not used the Armageddon joke @ work, I can spell it 😉

Don't you just love that it turned out nice again - Juuuuuune
