Hi I'm going to go and do the sense program next Saturday to exclude from all casinos. I'm blocked from online and blocked from bookies so got to do it as I've been going to casinos (six times so far ) and have lost around a days wage each time at least. The maximum amount of blockers I have the better. I'm one day one today. Since the start of the year I've managed to only gamble a few times but have lost just under two hundred pounds this is a lot better and I'm making progress but I have to stop completely as casino trips and fruit machines losses will just spirall out of control.

Its difficult for me to join the sense program, I think to myself can I really put myself into not ever going to casino again ever. I know should I lose a hefty amount of money there again I would sign up in an instant, however when you go a week and another week without losing heavily you start to think well its fine ive got past it. Wet

Hi Chopps! You said it yourself, this is something you just NEED to do. Yeah, you might won once, maybe break-even another, but as a compulsive gambler eventually all those wins will be swallowed by an almighty loss. It's what we do, we don't have an 'off' button, which is why we have to make sure we're never in a position to be switched on.

Honestly chopps even if you won £100000 tomorrow you'd still lose it one way or another. It's better to quit and work on accepting that you can NEVER win because we are wired this way. Self excluding is a positive and practical step to getting back on track with your life. It is quite daunting at first but it's much better than the alternative.

Good luck!

so ive not bet for over a week now, thanks for the posts very very true it doesn't matter how much I win I will always lose eventually. I had a heart to heart about my gambling tosome friends when on holiday and they couldn't understand the appeal of fruit machines I gues its a personal thing what floats ur boat. I personally just find them entertaining with the possibility of some extra cash but I know that its a real problem I have.

Well done for being GF for a week! Just take things slowly - one day at a time and you'll always win.
