Managed 100 odd days earlier in the year but the rest of it has pretty much been a shambles. Only good thing is because I don't have that much access to my money the days of frequent large losses are far & few between. Tell you the truth don't think I'll ever beat it, the only success stories I've seen on here are prepared to put in the hard yards such as GA & therapy, will power is seldom enough. Always the same with me, manage a couple of weeks followed by a few small bets & then it's like a runaway train until the inevitable crash. Need to self exclude from my local bookies again as my exclusion period has run out but so many bookies you wonder what's the point. Most of the staff don't even know where to find the forms. Keep away from that first bet is the key because we know where it will inevitably end. Good luck mate.

Surely now it's time to stop hoping Mark? Repeating the same actions over & over are never going to give you a different outcome! Even the start of this thread you had no cards & yet since then you've lost more than some people can get their hands on in a lifetime. So many false starts, it's time to commit to recovery before you lose everything...Maybe have a look @ some friends & family posts. You are lucky your partner has the strength to stand by & watch you self destruct over & over again, I know I wouldn't have!

Give her something she will love this Christmas, give her recovery for both of you - ODAAT

Hi I really hope you can beat it this time and remain gf, I'm early days at 74 but I feel so much better. Yes I still have the debts but by paying some of them each month they are coming down. You have to draw a line under the losses your never going to win them back, if you do win you would give it them back and more. So come on set some goals first, say, 20 days, then 40, 60 etc., have you ever explored why you gamble? Best wishes and stay strong and positive x

So have you thought about the underlying reasons why you have gambled? Its too obvious to say 'wanted to win money ' because usually there is something like loneliness, boredom or depression behind it ? Always a good idea to confront the issues head on.
