Hello all and diary! Continued ANSTINENCE for me.....the only thing is - am very hard up!! With never having confided in anyone about my addiction, I can't explain my continued lack of funds as takes most of my monthly income to pay debts!! I am so so ANGRY at what I've squandered over the years....tens of thousands of pounds. I know I have to look to the future and not dwell on the losses but it's so difficult - I could have bought our detached 4bed house outright quite easily with what I've lost! Perishing thought! Gotta keep going forward. I WILL NOT GAMBLE CANT WIN!!! Stay strong everyone. Helen. X

Hi Helen

Well done on abstaining and as previously said what's in the past should stay there. You are now trying to make a better life for yourself and thats commendable. Keep strong

Helen, you're doing great. We all have flashbacks to what we have lost but we have to put them out of our minds now and look to the future.

Enjoy your time with the family and keep up the good work.

Morning everyone and dear diary! Am feeling stronger every day.....can't say I've had no thought of gambling but have discarded them very quickly. I recall those awful scary feelings when I can't sleep, eat, feeling utterly tormented!! Do I want that? Do any of us want that? NO!! I WILL NOT GAMBLE! Am finding there is so much more to enjoy in life - family, friends, my lovely dogs! LETS KEEP GOING FOLKS! Bless us all. Helen. X

Hi helen,

Happy to see you saying you feel stronger. I must agree the longer we abstain the stronger we get.

Hope you have a lovely betting free sunday as I will be 🙂

Hi Helen

Glad to see you are still going strong. The urges do get less powerful as time goes on, just be careful not to become complacent as i did last year after nearly a year gamble free. The devil on my shoulder convinced me I was 'cured' and could gamble responsibly, the rest is history!

Well done so far,

James
