Hey blues, thought I'd check in to see how you're getting on... as you say this is one week when a lot of people will need support, this is the ultimate test for any gambler... I've not gambled since october 2012 but even now they've opened a new *** *** bookies right across from my apartment... May not work for everybody but I like to walk in, have a look around and walk back out. Just because I don't gamble doesn't mean I automatically stop liking sport, in fact I can sit there and enjoy it instead of my adrenalin pumping around watching something we have no control of. Everyday you don't gamble is a reason to smile!

Well here we go again after a terrible few months, 8 or 9 years been trying to kick this terrible habit, lost family, friends, self esteem along the way....never thinking of the consequences until it is too late....day 1.

Hi Blues... A shame to read what you have to say. I have also had a gambling spree back in August and am currently 2 months clean.

Coming to terms with how life is without reaching for the escape button is hard isn't it... but as we both know, life does, on balance get better when we are not gambling. keep working at it my friend as I try to do the same. Regards... S.A

Thanks SA, today I have made the choice to change a number of things. My actions mainly, the people and situations that lead me into temptation. I have to make some tough choices if life is going to get better - I need to get my head down and keep it down - one day at a time, done it before and will do it again....here goes!
