Financial changes whether they are for the better or the worse will still come and go and we still have to deal with them.

But imagine if you had been gambling for those 33 days? Would you have been in a far worse situation as you are in now?

My payday comes in a couple of days and there is a chance that it may not be what I expected. But I am not going to let it get to me.

What really, really matters is that we are still gamble free and well on the road to recovery.

Thanks for the messages folks, you are right, had I been gambling for the last 33 days, I would have been in a far worse situation.

Yesterday actually passed with no gambling urges and for the first time, I had a substantial amount of money with me (had to do some business with the bank) and NOT ONCE did the thought of gambling it all away occur, something I am very very proud of. I actually drove past 2 bookies on my way to the bank and had a serious feeling of disgust and achievement as I drove past. As I was driving past the second, a face I recognised from my dark gambling days came out and he had that look, you know the one where you have just lost your ba**s in the space of a short time.

I felt sorry for him, even though I only know him to see, and at the same time was glad it wasnt me,

Anyhow, onto day 34 and I wish you all the best for today

Take Care

Thanks for yor posts, yesterday passed with no gambling urges. The only thought I gave gambling was when checking the football results last night and thinking that seeing Chelsea and Liverpool slipping up meant poorer punters and those despicable fat cats raking in more profits. You see to gamble is to take a chance, and the odds favour the bookies. I'm sick of taking a chance with the prospect of a happy life, holidays family home, happy kids so that is why 35 days ago at 534pm today, I decided ENOUGH is ENOUGH and my hard earned money will be spent on worthwhile things, heres to 5 weeks today,

I hope you all have a gamble free day too, we can do this, one day at a time, break it down to hours if needed, but do not give in to temptation,

Take Care
