So I did 120 days gamble free. Then went to the races with the family. Knew I was going to break my gamble free number but assured myself I would start again and see if I can get 120 days again. I lost £300 at the races and it just hit home how dangerous it is.
I want to wipe it out completely but i know i will there will come a point i will gamble again but hopefully Gambling for fun and not a profit.
Whilst I am writing this I am thinking why settle for 120 days? Why not aim until new year. Then I can set my new year resolution to go another year? so that's 133 days from today to aim for!!
I'm still in a better position now than I was. But I have to tighten the belt up now. Losing at the weekend has hit me of how well I was doing. Completely had my mind away from the bookies. I couldn't say no to the races as it was a family thing and for fun. But my dark secret no body knows and I will tackle and beat it myself! It's my problem!
Here's to day 1 and week 1.

Hi Annon 1
As you have already had a relapse do not punish yourself, breaking a dependency can be very difficult. Instead try to reflect on the day and think about what you have learnt from it. Keeping your gambling a secret from your family has cost you in many ways. If you are able to face them and tell them the truth you may not have to repeat this scenario in the years to come.
Congratulate yourself for abstaining for so long. Try to stay positive, and remember to ensure that any changes you make are manageable and realistic. Then, with each goal that you achieve, you will grow in confidence and self-esteem.
Remember to take it one day at a time. If you do this, you’ll find it easier to break your gambling habit.
