Hi Scothed,
Thought I would pop by to say a big well done on 24 days.
I also hope that you stay strong while your girlfriend is away. Just imagine the wonderful celebration you can have on her return.
Maybe a meal out together to celebrate her return home and another 2 months gamble free.
Imagine yourself sitting their opposite her at dinner toasting your happiness together with a big smile on your faces.
Please don't do anything to spoil things while she is away. (just cos the cats away does not mean the mice have to play. They can just be good, keep house & eagerly await her return. )
Well done again on 24 whole days of winning a better future for the both of you.
xxxx
Thanks Sally 🙂
Gonna have a read at some other diaries now, starting with yours!
Few days without an update but still going strong.
I've not done too badly, but I've had other things occupying my mind. The real test is when you think you're "cured". There is no cure. Just constant vigilance.
30 days gamble free.
Boom.
Girlfriend goes away til the end of May on Wednesday and that will be the next challenge.

thanks for the reminder

BOOM!!! 30 days!
re: The Mrs going away, We are here if you need to talk brother!
Nearly five weeks in. Just seen the girlfriend off at the airport. I'm going to stay strong. By the time she gets back I should be almost 90 days gamble free. That's a worthy target to aim for.
Five weeks gone and doing ok still.
The problem for me now is boredom. I don't know what to do with my time, or should I say I do have things to do but I just have no motivation.
42 days. Six weeks. Doing ok. Spending free time reading and playing football manager.
Gambling is everywhere though. I was watching TV with my 11 year old sister and a gambling advert came on. She knew it word for word. It just made me angry and sad. Kids shouldn't be exposed to gambling.
50 days in and I am not gambled.
I am just keeping busy. Work, lots of TV and reading and a fair amount of football manager.
It does get difficult at times with work, as virtually everyone there gambles.
Got to 66 days and still hanging in there. No temptations but plenty of regrets. Been thinking about a bet I was going to put on months ago. Had I done it I would have won £40,000. Need to let it go.
81 days gone and doing ok. Had a moment of temptation, when I was asked if I wanted to use a promo code to put a bet on the FA Cup Final. I said no and I've been fine. I've got the 100 day target in my head and focusing on that. It will feel like a real achievement.
Affected by gambling?
