Hi everybody,
So, after many arguments about gambling between me and my partner and me been in floods of tears, i have got it into my head, enough is enough, i'm not in debt like alot of people, but my every last penny is spent on some site whether be bingo or slots is spent with my head burried in the laptop and missing out on family time with my partner and son.
this needs to stop and i need to be strong, in 1 day alone i could spend 1k easy.
the money i have lost is unreal and thinking back to what that would have bought my family makes me sad.
today is a big step to me, contacting gamcare and asking if i can have 1to1 with someone over 12 weeks i have never been as determined.
the story started out 1 night bored on my own deposit £10 and have a few good wins to signing up to prob every bingo site out there under diffrent e-mail addresses, the winning big amounts to go lose it all and kicking myself to re-depositing to try chase losses.
Here's to new beginnings.
Leigh.
Hi Leigh,
Firstly welcome and well done for taking the step to join here.
It doesn't matter that you not in debt but if you don't put an end to it now there is every chance you will be soon.
It's good your partner know you will need his help ns support, don't keep anything from him get everything out now be completely transparent.
Break the triangle hand over control of your money, self exclude from all sites and block acces to them to take away the opportunity, and fill you time by keeping busy even reading lots of diaries on here. If you don't have at least one of these three things in place it's very difficult to gamble I recommend you read loxxie's diary she has a similar story to you and is doing really well.
Keep posting and keep reading.
KTF
