Went to my 3rd GA meeting last night and enjoyed it being with like minded people really helps.

It is so much different talking to the people there rather than my mates because however good my friends are they will never understand what i'm really going through or how i am feeling.

As for the other things in my life they are not going too well at the moment as i have just found out that me and my wife are now divorced (it was news to me and a bit of a shock but we haven't been together for 3 years) i sort of hoped we would of got back together but thats no longer possible now.

So right at this moment am feeling really bad but deep down know i need to pick myself up and carry on i just hope i can do it.

Just got paid again and its good to still have money in my bank before i get paid i could get used to this.

Congratulations on staying "clean" like yourself I am enjoying having money in the bank and knowing it will stay there a lot longer than when I gambled.

Keep posting as it really does help to make us stay on the straight and narrow!! Joy xx

Hi craig,

I hope we will keep running this marathon together for the rest of our lives. You'll be always running for gold but I can settle with silver 🙂

Take care my friend

As the months go by (it will be 6 on the 21st of this month) I feel like I don't need this site as much as I did from the start (a positive thing I believe).

This place was a life saver for me and I'm not sure what I would of done without it.

Stopping gambling has been one of the hardest things I have had to do in my life but if I can do it anyone can. I have even stopped smoking as well so I have even more money (another bonus) but the funny thing for me is I can't remember what date I stopped smoking it's been either 3 or 4 weeks but the date I stopped gambling will be forever burnt into my memory.

Take care every one and as I have said earlier if I can beat this d**n thing anyone can so don't give up hope you can conquer it as well.

Hi Craig. I just found my way to your diary today, and just want to say what an inspiration you are. I am only on day 8 (almost 9), but can't see myself reaching 6 months. It just seems so far away.

But, reading your ups and downs, and how far you've come gives me hope! I hope you'll check in now and then to let us all know how well you're doing!

Well the six month mark has come and gone (last Friday to be exact) was gonna post at the weekend but only got out of hospital yesterday after managing to roll my car. Only have a few miniscule cuts on my head and face and sprained my shoulder (which is really sore) but went to see my car yesterday and it is a right mess thank god for seatbelts as if I hadn't been wearing one I don't think I would be here now so all in all I think my nickname on here means i have only 8 lives left so feeling really lucky at the min and glad to be here.

Craig... so glad you are still here, just look after those 'other' lives of yours!

Brilliant by the way.. 6 months, quite a milestone mate and down to your hard work. Keep doing what you do (except the car rolling) its working well for you.

Take care

Jackie
