Thanks both of you. I'm just sick of the same cycle and not being able to change.

You can change Denzil, many people have done...stories I've read on this site. It's not going to be easy at all, but will certainly be worth it. Surely this isn't a life? You deserve better, so you stay strong and fight for that life you do want! C x

Hi Den, thanks for dropping by...I'm doing fine, thanks for asking!

Not good to hear that you have relapsed but reality is, what were you doing that was different to before? Addiction would have you believe you are a waste of space, that it is the only thing in the whole world that can make you happy but it's bull!

You were doing great with your training, reducing your alcohol levels & improving your body to help your mind overcome the depression, you need to refocus on the stuff that was actually making you happy not making you believe it would.

70 miles is a long trek to GA but how about reconsidering some counselling especially if you can't afford to get to meetings? GamCare won't charge you & I understand they can arrange it online if that is preferable?

I was sick of the same cycle too but until I came here, not sick enough to make any changes that would actually help me to stop. Stopping is just half the battle & as you have realised, it's easier to stop when there is no way to gamble. Have a look @ your finances, self excluding, really get that gambling (Time-Money-Location remove one & you cannot gamble) triangle broken & see what is out there to help change your mindset, it can be done!
