Well another day not gambling, really happy with how I am doing. Been very busy, bit down today as I feel over tired and unable to let my mind settle down. Will not gamble as it does not help in the long run.

Hope everyone else is ok and doing well, thank you all for all your help and support

Hi Amanda, I just read your diary and you are DOING GREAT!!! Don't give into those urges, they will pass! I know it's easier said than done but try to read your first posts to remind yourself the bad feelings gambling brings. If you win, you want to win more and you won't stop till you lose, if you lose, you'll chase it and lose more... So as you said, best not to start. Thought a little reminder will help you put those urges away..

Good luck and stay on the wagon please!!

Hi Amanda,

Thanx for popping by...i am skyving off work for a crafty cig lol..otherwise all good with me :-))

Payday eh?? Hmmm.that's where the real challenge comes in. On my first pay day, i was trying to get rid of my money, believe me or not, i didn't want to have any. I did few good deeds and donated for some great organisations, which are responsible for me still walking on this Earth...hope not sounding too depressing :-))

It will be tough for the first few paydays, but try not to itch ur fingers and instead buy something nice for urself..even a magazine or new cd to treat urself..or go cinema on a weekend..i know it's not cheap these days, but anything is better than this habit 🙂 YOU ARE NO 1 and always remember, u don't want to waste ur hard earned money on gambling.

Anything what can lift ur spirits up!!!

Hey ho..time to go bk to work before they send search team looking for me lol

Keep it up, you doing great!!

..and stay out of troible of course 😀

Hi Amanda

Just making sure that my comrade is still kicking about! I got paid today myself and like Sandra eludes to in her post, while not making the donations she did, I made sure my "mumcountant" paid off as much debt as possible leaving me pratted again for another month.

You've gone 4 weeks girl, just a few days away from a calendar month and a real milestone to be proud of. Saying that, every day should be a proud day when you're clean.

Drop us a Wee line to update us on how you're doing.

Mr Brightside

Well still going strong, hit the month now so pleased with my progress. Must admit getting paid and having money, I say that as if I have some lol but I mean having it available is very hard. Need to pay overdraft, loans etc instead of thinking it is available money when it is not.

Keep having to tell myself that and also what on earth is the point of throwing everything away, I can not win as I can not stop! Bloody tough though! It will sink in and all will be well
