Day 1, Year 2!

Really pleased for you. Havent had the misfortune to have to go through some of the cr** you have and hope I never will.

I'm extreemly impressed by the way you have coped through tough times. That experience should help you through your continued journey.

Hey Ands,

A big well done and thanks for the bump up my friend.

You have come such a long way, your boys will be so proud of their wonderful Dad.

There have been some sad times lately I know but you still stayed clean in the face of that when it would have been easy to slip.

Have a great weekend

Hey Ands,

Hope you had a well deserved celebration of your first year of being clear of the gambling disease.

Hell,I had a bad head this morning because I drank a few too many, believe it or not, celebrating YOUR success!!

But even after that the gambling demon had no place in my life. No thoughts of even going anywhere near it.

Just wanted to post on your diary today as it's now into it's new era - one year of beating this disease, of which you should be rightly very proud.

Keep it going, keep posting, keep inspiring so many of us on here.

By the way, your post to Neil last night was for me so inspiring.

You are a top bloke and I hope that you never leave this forum.

Respect

David

Ands,

Congratulations mate - just left the virtual bar after an all-nighter to celebrate your achievement...so feeling a bit foggy - lol.

Year 2 has started and I am already thinking about making a similar toast this time next year - wouldn't that be something!

Well done mate - you're changing your (and others) lives for the better.

All the best

Hatch

Hi Ands,

Just interested in this...

Now that you have done one year and you are already starting your second year, how many years are you aiming for?

Have a lovely gamble free weekend.

November (73 days to go!)

Thanks for your posts, much appreciated!

Well have had a nice weekend with my boys and i have not gambled in any form.

November - to answer your question my aim is to be gamble free til my youngest son reaches 21 and my eldest will be 23. So that is another 13 years, um a long time to go and actually quite daunting. What ever i bleat on about i still actualy miss the fruities, sad but true!! But i miss my mum too and i will never see her again and also i wont gamble again.

My first year has been realy hard and at times i have felt so low the thames was a way out. But with a lot of hard work, honesty and determination i have turned my life around! I have huge debts and will take a very long time to clear them. What makes me feel good is that my sons are so much happier now and i am a far better dad!

My sons are my life , not gambling!
