Ands, my iconic gamcare friend,

Great to hear from you today and to feel the calmness that is now in your life.

I had no doubts whatsoever that you would be back to report your progress and that it would be more good news.

My family have now returned this afternoon and I'm glad to say that it is all smiles.

There will be wine with dinner tonight!

I did not gamble today, day 87 nears an end on the gambling front.

Just great to hear from you Ands, and as always wish all the best to you and the lads.

Your friend

David

Hi Ands

.... I relate to moments of soppyness lol

On a serious note... the ability to feel the feelings is a huge thing in recovery.. and it is your ability to work through your feelings day to day that has probably contributed to your continued success in recovery.

My downfall from time to time has been that ive sat on my feelings so much that they have come out sideways as gambling. But hey.. am a work in progress.

Your continue to do just fine.. keep going.. and yes you guessed it.. one day at a time. All the best in recovery.. S.A 🙂

Thanks for your posts!

Great to hear from the DAZZLER highly recommend a read of his diary, flawless recovery and an inspiration to US all!!!!!!

As for me, im still gamble free, working hard and trying to be the best dad i can for my sons, love them both - always and forever....Have just completed parenting classes with a group of single dads, last nearly 12 months and found it very, very beneficial - may sound sad to some but i proud of myself.....My sons are so different and happy nowadays and that just melts my heart.......................Yep im a drip and i dont care, cos im an honest decent guy now.

I have not stolen nalt for well over a year, and i slowly putting my disgusting behaviour behind me....My recovery, my life, just words to those who read my story, but to me this is my life - the ups, the downs, the heartbreak!! But if you get kicked down, GET THE f*** UP and fight and keep fighting.

Love my boys, miss my mum!

take care all, ands.

Ands,

I look forward to getting your email.

I have it in my head that I'm giving my recovery away to the cause of preventing others falling into the trap that we did.

Does that make any sense?

I just want to help make a difference and although I fully recognise this site is not the place, I will pursue this and I don't succeed it will not be through a lack of trying.

Being busy is the best antidote to refusing to gamble money away.

But there's a difference...

There's busy enjoying.

There's stressful busy.

And there's busy for the sake of it.

It sounds as if you are busy enjoying life which is obviously the way to go.

Have a great gamble-free weekend and please make the right choices.
