Good morning

I stumbled on this site after searching on Google. I've been reading through some diaries over the past couple of hours and it has encouraged me to start one myself.

I've been gambling for as long as I can remember. Not everyday, but that is probably just because I can't afford to do it everyday. The slots are my downfall and I can easily waste £50-£200 in the space of a couple of hours. I can gamble all day long and have even called in sick to work before because I spent all night gambling and didn't get any sleep.

I last gambled yesterday and wasted £105. If there's money in my account, my first thought is to head to my favourite websites and gamble away. My fiance knows nothing about my addiction and often wonders why I've got no money, which leads me to snapping at him.

I know the only way my life can change is to stop gambling. I've self-excluded myself from websites and have put some blocking software on my laptop. Today is day one, and I'm determined to stop gambling once and for all.

Hi Mrs_Will_Power,

Welcome, and well done for starting a diary. There are many people in the same boat as you, and the important thing to remember is you are not alone.

I, like you, have succumbed to online gambling on multiple occasions. My last payday, I gambled away £350 almost immediately. That for me was the final straw, and I have also put a block on gambling sites. To be honest, I've rarely used the computer in my free time, only really to post on here.

Best of luck, together we can beat this horrible addiction!
