I had to quit or risk her giving up on me, i would only have had myself to blame if she did.
We have almost been together 3 years now and want to move out in a couple of years so cannot afford to be gambling, saving this extra £2,500 a year by not gambling is doing us real good.

Put another £50 in cash away yesterday, thats £450 I now have saved in an envelope in my draw since i quit almost 9 weeks ago.
Seeing the cash build up is good motivation but also makes me realise how easy it is to get carried away with online betting. I wouldnt even bet £10 cash in a high street bookies but online at my worst I bet £500 one time 😮
Just too easy to get carried away online and its just numbers I see not money, until its too late of course and realise what I have done once its all lost.

It does get easier, but every now and then I do think of having a bet. If i hadnt put the blocks in place I would have gave in by now, you have to do everything you can to stop.
Day 66: £495.00
Half way to my target of 134 days (£1000) .
Its been almost 10 weeks since I last bet and it has gone very quick. Have checked in here everyday and it has helped me stick to it.
Day 67 : £502.50
Had a little urge to walk into a bookies yesterday, dont know where it came from.
I avoided the temptation and went straight home after work.
Day 68: £510.00
Well done on 68 days and for not giving into those urges yesterday. Keep doing what you are doing and hit your target and pass it!
