Day 271 - 9/8/14

Thanks Kirk hope your recovery is still going well. My last bet was on the Bryan brothers in the 02 finals in November. They were a set down and I put 250 on them to turn it round. After that I've never bet again and there are bad days but looking back it's been such a better 9 months.

Day 286 - 24/8/14

Most importantly I'm still gamble free but this weekend I've had the most urges in 6 months. My gf is currently away and I've had more time on my hands than normal. I've thought about just putting one big bet on and then just use the winnings to satisfy my habit. I do enjoy the thrill I can't deny that.

I won't bet as I know my personality and I'll end up back at rock bottom. I really don't know why I want to do something that leaves me feeling so hollow and awful even if I win!

I'm not going to let myself get back to where I was but it's that thrill I miss.

Will stay strong. Appreciate any advice.

Stu

Day 298 - 5/9/14

Still going strong and managed to get past my urges of two weeks ago. Things are so much better and easier without gambling and I won't go back.

I have come such a long way in the past 10 months and I'm not going to undo that by trying to win a couple of hundred pounds on an even bet on a sporting event I don't even care about.

Closing in on 300 days and again Today I will not gamble.

Day 313 - 20/9/14

Still gamble free. The start of the nfl season has given me a few urges to just win a couple of hundred pounds. But I know by now it doesn't work like that.

I still think if only I hadn't thrown that money away I could own a house by now! Still have to look forward and stay on top of this addiction.

Well done to you Stuart, it must feel great to be nearly a year. Yesterday was my first day and your diary has really inspired me, I can do this! I must say I've found it very helpful logging on here whenever I get the urge.

Take care, Mrs
