Today is Jan 2nd and I am starting my gamble free life. I will take one day at a time. I have lost so much to gambling but not a time to look back but to look forward.

Annie,

As a woman who was playing non stop for 11years and now got GF for 14months...I believe you can also do it.The worst is the 1st 30days..then trust me you count the months not days.

The benefits of not playing are obvious, for me is like super dark chapter of my life and now I life my full life and potential.

How did I do it?

It was cold turkey.

I just had enough of being in Zombie mood, waking up at night to use my new daily limit, having constant minus on my card, putting on weight from eating rubbish and not be present mentally in my child's life.

Everyone needs a different approach and support how to heal from this destructive behaviour and thinking patterns.

Please read this forum and give us an update in your recovery road.

I send you a lot of strenght.

Thank you so much. I have bern a compulsive gambler since April 2013 and have lost so much - thousands and thousands. I have tried many times. Used gamban - but it isn’t effective on i phones, used gamstop but then find sites that don’t fall under that, stopped my bank card but just started it again. I am committed to checking in here each day. I want to hear my children say they want to go clothes shopping as their clothes are too small and not have that feeling of panic that I can’t afford to til payday as just wasted it all on gambling. Roulette has always bern my main downfall although slots too.
Thank you so much and massive well done on your progress!!
x
