Hi Wayne,

even this might sound a bit harsh now but you have given the answerin your question.

"loved ones" do they deserve any less than the truth ?

Have a think, all I tell you is the longer you wait the more you dragg yourself down and the more difficult you are making it for your loved ones. They cant help you if you dont trust them.

Been there not so long ago and made exactly the mistake because I slipped and instead of saying something when it started I tried to get the loss (financial) back what obviously didnt worked and I just lost more and my missus was angry not for the fact that I've lost a lot money but that I didnt trust her enough to tell her when it started.

And the way I look at it now is, even if I would have won the money back and would somehow could have get hold on to it and nobody would have found out I've gambled, then I would still have lost because I would have to live with the lie and I think things would have turned worse on the long run.

I dont know if this helps you mate

Best wishes Wolfgang

yes that helps a lot Wolfgang,

I have already decided to come clean. Its not the amount, its the lies to try and hide the slip up.

You are 100% spot on.

I have made great strides since using this forum and would like to thank everyone who has responded with the valued advice.

Get this day out of the way, back to work tomorrow and a new day..

thank for the kind words upon my thread, they mean a great deal.

For you fella,be honest, first and foremost with yourself.

Recovery is a gift to yourself, the other folk in your life will benefit yes but you have to believe in your own choice.

Abstain and maintain

Life will improve
