Day 72

Picked up some extra shifts to help sort out my debt, the consequence of which is no time to gamble but very tired. I need Suzanne here to spring clean the house as it's getting neglected but at least it's NOT because I am glued to the Internet throwing money away. Having a very difficult time with my other half.
I read Dan's post where he said loved ones mainly miss the person whilst there are swallowed up with gambling but mine is so angry about the money. With doing night shifts I can take to cowards way out and avoid the bad moods and sniping. He has always been money focused but never has any. One of my initial reasons for starting was to raise some extra cash to help us out. Ha ha look where MY actions got me didn't manage that plan well at all. I am taking full responsibility for this mess I put the bets on and continued and continued until I broke us in all the forms of human life you can be broken. I have brought us to our knees but this gives me the strength too to beat it.
I have had very few thoughts /urges of late but played a demo game 2 weeks ago and even that made me lose and it felt like wake up and smell the roses in that even with demo I can't quit while I'm ahead STILL.
So a day at a time, my next goal is to pay off some priority debt at payday as last month some one hacked my account and the bank were not overly helpful. But they took less than I would have gambled and I live in hope with the bank. Have been forced to stop smoking at present so that may also be a silver lining.
Can tell I'm tired cos I am rambling.
Onwards and upwards

Ramble as much as you want, this is your space & it's your story!

I don't think night shifts are the cowards way out @ all if it means things are less stressful between you both! I can see why he's angry & I can see why you acceot all the blame but it must be hard for you being around someone so driven by money!

The banks are awful, I was so fortunate when I was cloned that it was by someone intent on flying round the world (even though they would have been hard pushed to get on all the flights which were taking off the same day) rather than taking cash as I'm not sure they ever would have investigated what would have in effect been normal activity on my account! I wish you the very best with them & it may take a bit of pushing but you have a sort of proof here if they need to know you had 'changed your ways' before you were cloned!

I am nervous for you playing demo games but I trust you are safe in your recovery & know what you are doing! Whatever the reason for stopping smoking may be, I congrarulate you because I imagine that's pretty hard going too! So well done 🙂 Hopefully you are not on nights tonight & are getting some much needed shut eye!

Ever alongside you! Keep strong - ODAAT

Hi Cheryl,

Well i gathered last night that it wasn't you at that table lol. (Must b blond moment...get them now and again lol)
Hope your shift went well and you're catching up on good zzzzzzzz. I think nightshifts/too early morning shifts should b banned! Human body needs sleep at night...vital for body and mind. But..hey ho, we cannot pick and choose eh? Work is work and gets our bills paid.

well done on your continued progress, be proud and keep marching on!

Day 74
One night off now back for 3 more, for a woman who hates nights not doing too bad.
No gambling or thoughts of gambling, but no joy with bank. Not a good week except for my abstention.

Hi Cheryl,

74 days, you are getting stronger and stronger, and you are definitely not doing too bad at all, Infact you are doing GREAT.

Sorry to read no joy with the bank, maybe there's another option out there.

Take care my friend and keep going onwards and upwards

Havnt checked in with you for a few days so hope all is well. You commented about a bad week besides your abstention. Sounds pretty awesome week to me compared to the ones you were having not so long ago!! Keep up the good work & dont forget you promised me you would check out GA. I have an email address for someone there if you want it. Also i have been told they have other women attending regulariley so no excuses!! 🙂
