Day 189
A very mixed emotions day. Found some great things for the first great grandchild to have as a keepsake. Joan did love cuddly toys lol.
Was good to see her 3 boys together with shared memories.
Today I will not gamble

Hi Cheryl,

You keep marching on dear soldier! Really happy for you and am so so proud of your continued progress in this journey.
Take a minute out of your day and look how far have you come..things won't change overnight, it takes time and adjustments...but the further away you move, the easier it gets. Now routine, new possibilities, new life!..it is a blessing Hun, to be in recovery is the first step to the right direction. No looking back, you have so much more to look forward to instead 🙂

Look after yourself, rest and be kind to you..always remember - healthy body, healthy mind 😉

Tipu tapu dear soldier

Proud of you!

Ps..coffee around 2-3am tomorrow, hope ya will join me 😉

Day 193
Ty Tri, Suzanne, Sandra and NT for support
Had 3 hard 12hr days and 2 glorious days off now to rest and clean. No urges in last 3 days and no wish to give in to the demon.
Feel tired but healthy and good to look forward and have learnt not to dwell on losses but to face forward and aim for a better future.
I so love it when the sun shines so am off to enjoy the day

Hey there!

Ohhh Cheryyyylllll, my heart skipped the beat cause i had to read your post twice and both times i read "serial killer" 😀 haha..even more worrying part is, it sounds like you're my neighbour also 😉 (East Anglia huh)
Now...violence aside - thank you so much for your support and so good to hear you're enjoying sun also. It truly brings some great feelings huh..the energy and optimism in life!
I am afraid i won't b around this weekend. Too busy flying around visiting my parents and also am off for a month so no more nights for me! (Yeepeee!!..sorry lol)..but since ya just round the corner, you're always welcome round for a coffee and cakes :-))))))
Ya watch, we prob live in other parts of the world and i am waffling on here thinking you're just a street away lol lol

Take care, enjoy your life - you're worth it! Roller coaster ride never stops and d**n right girl - we gotta enjoy every minute we find ourselves on the "up"

Day at a time! Have a lovely day soaking that sun in and i shall do the honours of working tonight 😛

Haha Cheryl 😀

Thank you for the correction! 😉 now just imagine how fellow soldiers feels when I'm talking about weather to their questions about my work lol lol..bless ya :-)))

Thank you for your well wishes and yep, please eat those cakes cause waiting for the month is a little too drastic for our poor bodies lol

I shall make sure i bring fresh ones next time we meet up for a catch up,..for now - keep your chin up, march forward, stay positive and determined! Same as you're in recovery 🙂

Whoop whoop bring freedom and victory on!

be proud - tipu tapu one day at a time!

& it doesn't matter how or why you didn't succumb, you just didn't 🙂

Don't believe the promises the addiction whispers...Life in recovery is real! It's not all hearts & flowers but it's all yours!

Day 198
Yesterday has ended and I now face forward and not back.
Today is a new day to pick myself up again and give myself a big shake. Not in a good place mentally at present but that will pass and life goes on.
Am so pleased I have found this site to retreat in when this horrible addiction comes along and tries to trick you to cave in.
I haven't and I will use all my resolve not to.
It looks like it's going to be a lovely sunny day and I will busy myself with the garden and of course..... cleaning.
Ty tri and ODAAT for your kind words.
Take care
Cheryl xxx

Well done my friend for not Letting the addiction take control, sometimes we walk along a thin tightrope, and that s when we have to really focus and stay calm, so we don't fall off.

You did walk it yesterday and you did not fall off, proud of you,

Take care today and keep busy, even if it's cleaning lol.

Have successfully negotiated the day with no problems. Front garden started and back tidied but needs more work!!
Actually enjoyed some of it lol
Tomorrow is another day so with all the fresh air and physical work am off to bed soon to watch a movie.
Since stopping gambling I have really enjoyed catching up on old films.
A safe site on the internet lol
Take care

Whoop whoop, welcome to the double century Cheryl 🙂

I'm going to hazard a guess that the bit you enjoyed about gardening was packing up for the day 😉

Keep winning - ODAAT
