Day 3 begins....

Same two simple steps for me today!

Feeling a little more upbeat, paid a few bob to my cut up credit card... Money which cannot be retrieved.

One day at a time is honestly the best way to go about it. Try not to think about the past or future too much and just focus on the here and now.

If you think about it? If you only focused on everyday for the rest of your life, then you'll get there eventually. All about those slow steps - thinking too much can sometimes be bad news.

But it seems that you're doing well so congratulations.

Day 3 complete.... Today I have been thinking about why I gamble(d) in the past and now I really do believe that I dont need to gamble to enjoy myself as at the end of the day I havent enjoyed it since the early gambling days.

I dont feel as if I want to gamble now but only 3 days in no need for complacency.

Day 4 tommorow and I am feeling confident now. Not a day has went past without me regretting my past however I just need to rid myself of the gambling and move forward.

See yous on the chat at some point over the weekend.

Take care folks.

As per previous comments I confirm day 5 was tough especially falling on a Saturday... Found myself looking at horse racing cards and football coupons and almost ended up in the bookies just for a small bet but of course that's all it takes.

Unbelievably and im still wonder how I managed to negotiate day 5 successfully but there you go

I AM 5 DAYS GF!

Excellent to read HtZ and I hope you showed similar gumption today. If so, great stuff and that's the first weekend successfully navigated. A working week ahead, and, like last week, continued discipline required. Minimal (but pragmatic) access to cash. That's your target tomorrow. One day at a time. Tomorrow, say to yourself: "WHATEVER the provocation, I am not going to place a bet. Because, even if I should win, I will give it back and lose even more. I know this because I always do. So what's the bloody point?"

Thanks for your support guys.

Day 6 successfully negotiated, managed to keep myself busier than yesterday to avoid any similar urges. Today I was back to where I was with no temptations to gamble.

Tommorow I will not gamble I know I wont as I am ready to turns days into a week

6 days GF.
