I have tried every blocking software, blocking transactions on my bank card and Gamstop but I always find a way around them to the point my life is a mess, I’m currently on a suspended sentence and was extremely fortunate that I didn’t go to jail as my crime was due to my gambling even that hasn’t frightened me enough to stop and if I don’t turn it around now I’ll end up either dead or in jail any advice or guidance would be appreciatedÂ
Hi there Kriis,
Thanks for joining the forum and sharing how things are for you. This sounds scary for you. Please do call the helpline 0808 8020 133 and chat through your options. Also consider a referral through to some ongoing support options from GamCare. All of which you can chat about on the helpline or by instant chat. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Kris.
I honesty do not think their is a proven way of blocking yourself, it is easier online to block than using a bookies where it is easy to still use a bookie even if you block.
If your still in the throws of wanting to bet no amount of blocking will help, I know it's harsh but it's the truth.
I would seek one to one advice if you can also seek out GA meetings, there should be one in your area, they are good also.Â

Hi
Â
So I was like you finding solutions. Ways around it's just in my Nature. Too nosey for my own good lol. Here is what I've done:
1. I want to quit. You could have all the desire in the world but unless your ready, you'll always find ways round.
2. I have a Samsung phone. It only allows one user.
3. I have my partner put on (don't laugh lol) parental controls. My phone is blocked to anything I search for like casinos etc.
4. I let my partner take over my finances and give me an allowance each week.
5. Gamcare give you gamban for free. Put it on all your devices.
Good luck buddy, you've got this!!!Â

This gambling broke my life i don't know what can I sayÂ
Hey there, I really feel for you and appreciate your honesty. It takes a lot to open up about these challenges. Maybe consider talking to a professional counselor or joining a support group? Sometimes having a solid support system can make a big difference. Take it one step at a time, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need someone to talk to. You got this!
Affected by gambling?
