been trying to think of an alternative to people individually excluding themselves from online gambling websites .
What if there was a government backed scheme where you give you're name, dob, and address and you're details go on a list. That list is then shared with the online gambling websites who have to exclude you for a year no matter what .
If you can still get on the website or are marketed in anyway then the website / company in question in fined heavily.
So all you have to do is sign up once and you are banned from all. Of course there are lots of ifs and buts and it would rely on the government pushing it promoting it and gambling companies signing up (although it would tick their responsible gambling quota) I think if companies and the government wanted to do it , it would be relatively easy to implement. I'm sure we are all quite cynical about how much take up their would be on the corporate side of things but just think what a life line it would be to us on this side of the fence ? Anyway just an idea . Let me know what you think
Hi Pwn
Great minds think alike - the Gambling Commission is indeed requiring the Remote Gambling Association to come up with a more joined up plan to help problem gamblers exclude themselves from multiple online gambling companies at the same time. Earlier this year we promoted a survey asking for views on this. You can read more about it here:

We will post more news about this as soon as we have any.
Best wishes

Great stuff . Will be really interesting to read the results. In particular there will need to be proper sanctions on online operators and a real push from the government to want this to succeed. Still postive news let's hope it sees the light of day 🙂
