Over the course of a year I've gone on a rollercoaster of fitness and diet.... ... I'm only 2kgs less in weight now standing at 88kgs but my stomach is flatter (not perfect) but a lot better than it was.

I went on a health kick and diet and steps wise I've done an average of over five miles a day..... Food I've had mixed success.....

My mum has had great success eating the three fistfuls (protein. Vegetables and carbs) at dinner time.... She always has plenty on her plate and has lost weight.

You tube vids I've watched tonight have Soo many differing views...but it seems cutting bread, white pasta, white rice, sweet foods, is the way to go...... Some say just one meal a day.....some say eat nuts, others say nuts are too high in calories... Â

What I have taken on that I'm going to try this week is the first full approach of carrots and peppers within a Bolognese sauce with wholemeal spaghetti..... Four meals this week of that...... Then roasted peppers, onions, sweet potatoes (less calorific than white) with a chicken tempora.......(May start buying just chicken breast but got temporas in freezer already)

So that's six meals

Then for breakfast no bread, no oats, as they contain sugars, just two scrambled eggs or weetabix.....

Then for lunch lentil,pepper and tomato soup as this a healthy soup and watermelon 🍉 as this very healthy and also lowest fruit calories as mostly water.

Then for snack in evening I'm getting popcorn 🍿 again super low calorie and makes u feel full....

So a long with this I'll aim to do my 80k average steps and look to do some weights..Â

Really looking forward to this food......a real nice filling amount of food but buying and eating the right sorts ... Â

Love this Adam! Really good idea. Think I'll have a look at doing something similar. My wife also wants to try and lose a bit of weight so we'll probably do together, although for me it's more toning up and muscle than losing weight.
Anyway, good luck. Can't wait to see how you get on.

first week.....food went well...... done 77500 steps great start.....

Well after the innitial great start i had a week off work..... in this week i ate mostly pizza had a good start to the steps of the week on sunday and monday then tues weds and friday pretty much no steps...... the saturday was a good end.....overall i done 56.5k steps that week....

Then this week ive had a mixed bag food wise....ive not bought any canteen food tick..... ive had soup each lunch two slices of granery and pack of crisps low cal ones..... then each eve ive had a pasty..... with nothing else usually..... then eaten snacks like popcorn in the evening...... steps have gone well..... but then yesturday felt hungry in evening and went to sainsburys with intention of buying dougnuts for people at work then bought five and ate them all in one night eeeeeek...... but then on the flip side in the first four days of this week ive done 70600 steps already over 17500 average each day so really chuffed with that and ive bursting with energy presently.....

Tomo ive got weetabix breakfast, soup lunch and cottage pie for dinner...... then its friday and the weekend again.

Then Sat in the sun for an hour (boy it was hot but lasted an hour) good vitamin d.....

Then had dinner (cottage pie and beans today)

Then went to the gym (30 mins on treadmill)..... a quick swim...... then walked to sainsburys..... got a melon.......

Then back on gamcare chat......

Then here i am got to do some washing up then ready for bed.....

done 16579 steps today.......7.2 miles.....done 87289 steps soo far this week with two days left....

Exactly three weeks into this thread....with new objectives.....new ambitions.....to became a leaner version of myself.

What works for me is to do little 5k amounts over four periods thoughout the day....

Another week has passed......was gonna take a step back from the steps but got to monday and i felt like going to the gym so went and then went every night for half an hour in the evening......ended up doing 112,000 srteps in the week even going to the gym yesturday on my weeks rest day.....wow.....

Now on saturday night i felt low in mood and like very down.....so i went to sleeep at ten pm very early for me...... slept thru till 2pm so 16 hours sleep...... wow u must think thats a lot well it is but feltt like needed it....felt great when i woke........then went to the gym after couple of eggs...... done 1 hour treadmill 8k steps.......then went to my folks for dinner quiche, now some popcorn....a boath and bed about 11pm fresh for work tomo.

One week of work then off for a week so will spend it playing games, sunbathing, and working on my health again some more...

Now three days later and im on my holiday week now horray....... spent the day walking , bbqing, sunbathing, swimming..... all great things.....

Now i managed to achieve the 100k steps for the fourth week in a row,,,,,,

But now im going to try and work a bit smarter on my exercise to save time.....

Now im going to start by doing a 3% incline 6k per hour walk for half an hour tomo..... as recomended by a friend and see what calories that achieves......Â

Then some weights.....

instead of aiming to do 100 k steps for the fifth week...... im going to count my calories lost on the treadmill for one week....... im going to make modest improvements to my diet..... and see whether it has a positive impact on my weight and whether it has a negative impact on my energy levels.....

Currently i spend between six hours on a weekday and three hours on a weekend walking....... so im going to try and do less but achieve more from it......

Because i feel im trying way more than is needed and getting nowhere again....

Evening diary....... tried the incline and faster walking today......It's early days but i felt that i was walking too fast for me.......was tiring and i struggled to keep up with the 6 kperhour speed along with the incline...... My mum thinks slowly introduce it but i feel better when im walking at a normal slow pace for longer.

Having said that i did manage 35 mins on the treadmill mostly at that speed..... i also walked an hour with my mum around wakehurst place...... its super hilly i mean very very hilly and im suprised my mum wants to walk like that after her heart attack .... but she felt confident and had done it on saturday also so thats fine....very good exercise for her too....

So i managed another ten miles day today and feel fine.... i mena a little tired but not too bad....

 I signed up to fit bit for three months for free to see whether its worth the 75 pounds a year to track my food along with exercise at the same time.... In the first day ive eaten under 1500 cals and burnt just under 3000 .... so i dont know how im not losing weight but my body is just super efficient i gues...

But feeling good about this..... Think ill go to the gym tomo too..... ill also walk aroung town with a friend for a bit...... but i wont get a coffee as i usually get the syrup and that adds a lot to the cals......

I went to bed late last night after countingand obsessing over my calories thru the day then couldnt sleep as was hungry so ate then thought i needed to burn it off so went for a walk at 4am then was in gym 6am till 8am...... done 17000 steps by 8am went back couldnt sleep...... This is where i go wrong with everything i obsess about it and do it to the extreeme...... so i thought i need to rest before i go back to work shattered..... so ive deleted my fit bit app and will concentrate on resting for four days before work,.....

Id like to do things in moderation but i dont seem able to do....

So this is the end of this thread...... I have lost weight and my legs are terribly lean and healthy and thats the only plusses i got from this......Adam completely shattered adam xxx
